  3. Cos I am getting a bit fed up of certain people always taking the mick out of my "60s girlie stuff". I think its a great record, but I would say that as I love nearly everything Dolly does and if I get a copy I may try it out, so watch out Blue Skies QoFxx
  4. OK so its not a tune I would play out, but would love to own a copy of Busy Signal for personal reasons and at the right price. QoFxx

  10. I don't think or hope we are looking at the end of TOTS just a change of venue QoFxx
  11. Harpenden OK on the rail link from Bedford QoFxx
  12. TOTS is one of my favorite nights and certainly a premier soul night on the Beds & Herts calander if not in the country. Lynn did mention this may happen when I spoke to her on Saturday, was just keeping my fingers crossed that Pete & Sean would be able to pull something out of the bag. Saying that though, knowing Sean & Pete I am sure they will come with something as good or if not better. A venue is just a room, what counts are the great people who run TOTS and their enthusiasm, they great DJs they put on and not forgetting the people who always support this great night. Here's looking to moving forward and like so many of us in this area I am certain wherever you move to you will have our unfaultering suport. QoFxx
  13. I have gone to venues with the same delima and will do in the future. If you are in a room with about another 100 people and your friends does it matter who the promoter/DJ is as long as you are enjoying the music and you don't have to speak to them QoFxx QoFxx
  14. Went after this but as not seen it up for sale or any price info on it anywhere wasn't sure how far to go so pulled out at 75, wish I held on in there. True 60s girlie pop I know but really like the B side......................and I like 60s girlie pop QoFxx
  15. .............oi, you know we are all NORMAL in Beds & Herts Oh and forgot to tell you, think I have managed to secure "our song" at the right price so if you're at the next Blue Skies QoFxx
  16. Great job guys, prob one of the best Northern/Soul radio shows i've heard for ages QoFxx

  18. no probs QoFxx
  19. Damm smiffy you beat me to it QoFxx
  20. Certainly one of the best there is, whether it be 60s or modern he is definately in my top 5 in the country, well perhaps not the modern bit And what would you know QoFxx
  21. Spot on Tezza, but it does worry me that I find myself agreeing with you on something QoFxx
  22. Being a qualified senior ISO Auditor I would welcome this as I could see a nice side line , travelling to venues, at the requst of the promoters in order to asses the venues and DJs to enable a OVO Certification to be awarded. I would do this for a small fee plus large vodka cokes and expensess, paid by the promotor or individual DJ who wanted certification QoFxx
  23. The funny thing about that is, last November before our first London BSSC I made someone go through my play box just in case as after 30 years away from the decks I wanted to be 100% sure, knowing "the chin strokers of old london town" that nothing un-toward had slipped into my play box only to go and pack the wrong copy of QOF (to play the b side before anyone shouts played out oldie) and was only when Dave from WOH followed me and spotted it, I had been so nervous about my impending doom behind the decks hadn't noticed I' packed the wrong one or even worse put it on the decks The boot has now been put in a seperate record box that never sees the light of day, couldn't believe me of all people bringing out the wrong copy of QOF Stubbsy has never let me forget it. QoFxx
  24. Steve, I've just realised that Blue SKies (wherever we happen to be )is not on your OVO list QoFxx
