We all have a box of records that are of dubious origin, or re-issues of re-issues of re-issues, or so pants only we would want to listen to them.
We only get these out under the cover of darkness, with the curtains drawn, lookouts posted at the end of the street in case the soul police have the detector vans out.
I have bought quite a lot of records recently and over the last couple of days I have been sorting out all my records and generally having a tidy up when I broke open the lock of the forbidden box and delved in.
I came across a copy of Marie Knight, Thats No Way To Treat A Girl. This puzzled me as to why it was in the forbidden box as I think it is a great record and the only explanation is that at some drunken moment I put it in the wrong box or someone at some point has told me mine is a boot. I can't remember who I bought it off as this would probably ascertain its authenticity.
So can one of you anoraks please let me have some info as to how I can tell.
This has been puzzling me all night and I woke up pondering over the mystery. The weird thing is, for the life of me I can't find it this morning........spooky .
Thanks
