  1. I think I recall hearing it played at the Hyde botanical club,so I reckon it must have been Roger playing it?
  2. Hi gang I'm interested in chasing after a copy of E WILLIAMS-TRADE MY SOUL TO THE DEVIL,my question is,is the jimmie williams version the same guy,the backing music sounds the same, but the vocal sounds different to me! And I'm guessing the e williams is somewhat rarer,so what's the approx value and how many copys knocking about? And who has one so I can get to work on grinding them down..haha Ta Lee
  3. Flipping brilliant....and sadly very true!
  4. I know it's a great tune,that's all I care bout brother!
  5. I didn't know the monitors was on a uk Buddha,I have it on a USA Buddha,it's a mega record,I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially at 30 quid!
  6. I know the toni ross isn't for everyone, but compared to some high prices achieved lately on other 45's,I reckon 1k for the record is a good buy,it's rare,it's a dancer, the quality is there!
  7. I know,it just beggars belief!
  8. Yes and the springers has been on his auction, went for around 2k I recall
  9. The scene always has and always will have/need its vinyl grails(heroes),and the ray agee is defo in the top 10! It takes a long time for a record to reach such stature, and this one is well suited, and aint goin knowwhere!
  10. Haha...yeah it ain't a bad tune,same label as george smith-I've had it,similar kinda production!
  11. Totally agree, the fact it doesn't cost a million quid is the reason it ain't played out, which is a real shame! It's a blinder!
  12. Just when I thought there wasn't many bargains left on the bay,I got this for £6,not quite a fiver mind you! Gay jamison-stay another day-turntable
  13. Is this an unissued track,or a newly written and recorded song?
  14. I reckon it was "lazy" that sold for more, totally different record to "lady" your price is about right for this anyway, good luck with the sale,a great double sider!
  15. Yes,some months back he sold a bunch on averages from breakthrough/mutt&Jeff,but it would appear the buyer didn't see the deal through on the inspirations acetate.
  16. Thanks guys...knowledge is a powerful thing!
  17. Sorry guys I don't know how to do ebay links. The inspirations acetate on breakthrough is back on eBay
  18. That has to be now in the top 5 documented expensive northern soul records?
  19. I sold a phonetics-just a boys dream on here for a couple hundred quid, that was cracked and glued together, but it played alright, and for a record that is rare and hardly ever comes up for sale less than 1500 quid, collector or dj would be more than happy with a less than glamouress looking record for cheap money!
  20. Great record!..has this ever appeared on a black issue?
  21. In the end a good northern soul record is a good northern soul record whether it was discovered in the 70's or last week! We all know what makes up a decent northern soul tune, some take longer than others to fit in,but they all do in the end!
  22. Is tony Blackburn up to his old tricks again?
  23. evryone has got or had the bottom end stuff and probably wants the more middle to top end records,so you aint got much chance of selling the bottom end stuff really, unless new collectors come in and start off with cheaper stuff! sell them as packs for dead cheap money...that will appeal to all the greed in us all...haha
  24. That's easy!...everyone is a good dj...and I'm a great dj....only joking,I don't dj really! Haha
  25. Couldn't have put it better myself!
