  1. Great story Marc As for this tune and many others,no dont doubt they are gonna be getting the AI treatment and re released on some label
  2. Looking at the Adams apples and duke browner it’s clear the hard oldies are still ruling the roost…..and for good reason
  3. The emeralds 45 has been on there for some time, must have finally sold, and maybe it was reduced significantly?
  4. No idea mate, sounds defo blue eyed! Either way the a-side is nothing to shout about, but the b-side has got something going for it! overall nice piece
  5. I reckon at the time of release wayf was defo meant to be the hit?
  6. Nice little fantasy is the sight of a uk sue 45 with poets wrapped around your finger, given the dubious history it could have been a possibility?
  7. Good little post that, enjoyable read
  8. Yeah this is a really good YouTube series
  9. I notice jms has listed a dont take it out on this world Canadian copy, not listed on discogs, and I certainly never heard or seen one before?
  10. I must admit whilst the sensation side is an instant grabber, the moment side feels like a more lasting appeal, weird chord structure! Either way a great little double header!
  11. Funny how a tune can be around for years and never hear of it! Northern soul never ceases to surprise!
  12. Have I seen the name teako Wiltshire on some shrine recordings? Good info chalky
  13. STAFFORD ERA SOUND,STILL SOUNDS COOL SPOTLESS VINYL AND LABELS £75 inc post
  14. Any info on this group? It seems to be a one off tune on a one off label, hard to pick a side really, both strong tunes, can’t believe it slip through the net with me!
  15. LOVELY STRONG EX COPY,HOWEVER A MINOR PRESS FAULT ON THE RUN IN,DOESNT AFFECT PLAY OR THE RUN IN,PRICED ACCORDINGLY,LOOK AT THE PIC. £100 inc post
  16. Any idea how many ish? Like I say I know of 5 copies with people who aren’t djs….obviously rarer than the run of the mill, but not unicorn rare!
  17. Defo seen more gene tones than the sandy wynns, but again it’s a case of quality over quantity, sandy wynns is a decent tune, but gene toones is in another league, however the sandy wynns certainly seems like it should over the 500 quid mark these days?
  18. Joe Dunlop has one at £75 ex condition, actually looks mint though
  19. I know of five poets mint copy’s in collections where they never/Dont dj,but that is the case of a lot of records out there! It’s easy to think that it’s just djs that have and play these sounds! Personally I don’t think there are many “actual” rare northern records, but raritie doesn’t always equal value, the word “rare” simply means to me how often it crops up for sale.
  20. Very well put and very true its easy to get nostagic and over hype things in our heads, the few I attend are equally and at times more so more enjoyable than said times late 80’s and times thereafter.
  21. Just tell Hmrc to keep there big nose out
  22. I realise how the words look, but meant in the best heartfelt sentiment…..im not to clever with text messages either
  23. WRAPPED AROUND ON MUSIC MILL THANKS
