    Tit for tat,if it’s dark blue on the IN label, it’s as original as your gonna get,if your gonna get to picky on absolute original,then I wouldn’t bother buying Uk presses of USA records! Eg...Barbara McNair love my baby 100 quid on absolute original Motown,uk tamla,500 quid,for one could argue second press? there will hundreds of examples of similar tit for tat detail!

    I would say 90% of records on any of the auctions aren’t rare or even that desirable! Some 45s that appear on auctions sit on set sales for ages until the inevitable price drop!

    Tends to be cheaper than the 1st issue stone blue label,but equally if not harder to acquire! I’ve had the issue and demo on stone blue,but never a Mercury issue! And I think it’s only available on Mercury red issue and not the white demo’s!

    If this was in a soul pack on a demo or issue then I think it would be dismissed as a mediocre 45,and maybe see it in the 20 quid bracket! The fact it’s “unknown” test press and as achieved a ridiculous amount,it makes it appear better than it is! Personally I wouldn’t waste the space in the box for it!

    The only problem with these unknown songs is that it is possible it turns up as a b side on a unsuspecting £10 45! a couple of months back a similar test press went for 800 quid as supposedly unknown! I found the released version on eBay,and the song was the b side (which was not a bad tune) the a side was shit,and no wonder the record was 20 quid delivered! so beware...do your research properly!

    I had a copy of tony Middleton -Paris blues-polydor Canadian,it was the usual red in colour but with a big hole,not a solid centre,but if memorie serves I’m sure it said demo on it? Will see if I have a pic somewhere!

    Ebay uk too,you’d never catch a deltours on the uk site,anyone in the uk with a copy of that record you would know about,and it would be straight on jm’s! thats a carver that with a shitty paper label!
