    I must admit like a lot of 45s I always avoid the USA version as I find there are to many pressing/boot variants,just to confusing! I wonder in this case if it’s worth throwing that extra 100 quid at it and getting the uk copy which will certainly be original!

    Actually upon flicking through YouTube,it appears that the stateside and “Eric” mix is different from the USA and uk mercury release? But you can’t always trust YouTube!

    Said song as always been in my top 10 oldies ever! although, the 45 releases confuse me? How come the mix for the uk releases is different from the original USA smash mix,I personally prefer the later uk mix,sounds more accomplished,whereas the smash mix sounds out of joint on the drum breaks! and how come the uk mercury and stateside releases are like 3 or 4 years after the original USA release,makes it feel like a reissue? lee

    That seems straight enough brich ,but I would imagine a collector selling a number of records per week with a view to selling the whole collection of possibly thousands is gonna look questionable to hmrc,unless you can prove that the records were purchased through your younger years and now selling cos your older? Profit or not,that wouldn’t be a business would it?
