I’m gonna be quite detailed here,im interested in seeing a list of northern soul uk only 45s? Predominantly 60’s and some 70’s. a list of 45s that are uk only,no foreign release or USA,no album tracks,and an original song for that particular artist! I imagine it will be a short list and of blued eyed soul origin! bigger joke than 80% of records on discogs i reckon some sellers from the USA think we will pay anything for a record if it sounds remotely like a soul record!

I’ve sold stuff in the past on his auction,the buyer pays what the winning bid is plus post,the seller(me) gets the winning bid less fees(I’m sure is 20%) however in most cases you will achieve higher than you thought, so the fees get soaked up!

Everyone should be made welcome regardless of ability,if a person is serious about the scene then anyone can clearly see that effort! I personally am only traditionalist on the subject of original vinyl only,no exceptions! so fill your boots my friend, and you and your mates keep northern soul alive

I’m aware of the two soul releases on the label,are there more? condors let me down easy/meet me halfway (name change to jeanie & the gentlemen on limelight label,same mix,also very rare) personally I prefer the meet me halfway side,superb mid tempo with great trumpet break! softiques bashful/two kinds of boy two kinds of boy is the side for me! But was this released on another label,maybe name change? and finally are these actually released 45s? And/or acetates? lee

I have always been a fan of the tv series x files (mulder & scully) and this got me wondering about an xfiles on soul? Just add your urban legends (debunked or proof of existence) whether it be 45s or label variations,let’s see whether we can put these myths to bed! In recent times the Darrell banks on a London issue appeared from the wild,recently Darren brown had a shrine 45 with cairos and Eddie daye on one disc,mick holdsworth has brought the subject of Ron Holden on a challenge issue? sam fletcher tower issue? nolan chance on bunky? have fun lee

Youth club was my first introduction to northern soul,I was really young in the late 70’s,8 years old maybe,the older kids would come into the youth club and then go off to the Wigan casino! northern soul was played along side the jam,specials,Dexy’s,…etc….i didn’t know for years that northern soul was old music

I agree,no doubt it’s rare,but certainly only an ok record at best,tiresome after a few plays! seen it a few times over the years at around 800/1k,but 5k is nuts!
