Two obvious eye poppers for me are deena barnes and william powell Im amazed that anybody still wants to part with such high numbers for a 45,£16k jeeeeees.

When i looked it had added an extra 45 mins,that seemed odd,like you say normally a few minutes added on depending on bidders. Also the final bid didnt change from the £630 45 mins prior?

Have they used the same backing track for the janice 45,simply replacing the organ with a wah wah guitar to give it a more modern/updated feel? For me the janice version is the runt of the litter,or a poor mans andrea henry.

Omega is like ebay etc....everyone knows about it so therefore no notable bargains! Id expect the drifter for 700 quid not its a sad thing.

Just to add i dont aim my thoughts to the seller,he or she has great feedback,and could well frequent here on soul source too,in a world of very clever reproductions,its not beyond the relms to think someone could reproduce a 45 for a huge amount of money.

Just watched it end,i expected a barage of bids and huge numbers at the last second for this detroit monster,however it ended rather low especially for a m- copy? However whilst there are plenty of good quality pics,the record looks suspect....looks like a bevelled edge,the etching looks suspect,the label edge looks like some bootleg appearences? Not so sure about the kim weston tune,its like the producers tried to make her and the song sound white,could quite easily be the mamas and papas,i can see why it was shelved.

Yeah i was 18 maybe 19 and i didnt care to much for live artists at that time,i certainly remember sam as youve mentioned chalky with his hat and joyful presence,i remember another chap singing(im sure it was lou) and frances nero,but it was a bit cheap and nasty singing to a tape,but i suppose if its just an allnigher your not gonna bother with a full band! Now im older im grateful to have met and seen many of the artists to which we all love there music.
