Cheers, it was footage of the group i was looking for. I interviewed lead singer Billy Prince last night for broadcast on UK radio and he was saying how they’d done some TV appearances, one on the same bill as Otis Redding, but there was no footage of them that he could find, and i thought that if any clips were in existence, someone on here would know :-)

American singer and film/TV actor Dean Parrish, born Phil Anastasi in Brooklyn NY, is probably best known for his northern soul anthem I’m On My Way which became famous for being the last record that was played after each soul all-nighter at Wigan Casino. Lee Fields, or ‘Little JB’ as he is often lovingly referred to in reference to his physical and vocal resemblance to James Brown, is a singer/songwriter/producer who released hi first single in 1969 and has remained active ever since. Currently fronting The Expressions, his latest LP ‘It Rains Love’ was released on April 6th 2019 packed with his trademark Lee Fields sound. Lee and the Expressions will be performing several dates in The UK this year, beginning with May 2nd in Cambridge. After winning a talent contest in Detroit aged 13 Carolyn, already an accomplished songwriter with a stack of original compositions under her belt, spent the early hours of her 14th birthday recording her debut single for Motown, a self penned track called Forget About Me. Carolyn went on to record as part of the all-girl group Hodges, James, Smith & Crawford and also Hamilton Bohannon and also as a solo artist on Philadelphia International records, Chicago’s Mercury records and latterly Motorcity records. Their career spanning four decades, the Pointer Sisters achieved mainstream success during the 1970s & 1980s and their repertoire has included such diverse genres as pop, disco, jazz, blues, soul, funk, country and dance. The group began as a duo in 1969 when June and Bonnie began performing in clubs as a pair. Solo artist / musician / singer / songwriter Barbara Roy (nee Gaskins) first release came in 1963 as half of Barbara And Brenda. Following a short time as a session musician Barbara was asked to join NY outfit Ecstasy Passion & Pain as lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter. With over 65 years in show business Tommy Hunt is one of the original pioneers of “Rock ‘n’ Roll”. In the late 50’s he was a member of the sensational doo wop group, “The Flamingos”, before embarking on his solo career in 1960. Tommy Hunt has worked alongside all the greatest artists such as Jackie Wilson, Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles, Diana Ross, The Sherelles, Dionne Warwick, Chuck Berry, Sam & Dave but to name a few. In the 1970’s Tommy became a household name within the UK Northern Soul Scene, regularly appearing live at The Wigan Casino. He was inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall Of Fame in 2001 as well as into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2000 and the Doo-Wop Hall of Fame 2001. Now well into his eighties Tommy Hunt shows no signs of slowing down. Ruby headlined this year’s Northern Soul Survivors weekender at Skegness and now owns the iconic label Zodiac that launched her career. Kris Peterson, the blue-eyed soul singer from Detroit, began her singing career with the Nodells and saw the issue of her first single in 1965. Known in northern soul circles for her floor-filler ‘Just As Much’, Kris went on to release her LP ‘A Child’s Dream’ in 1972. Her most recent recording is as a Blues artiste with a band called Blue Spirit Tribe that contains 4 self-penned tracks. Spyder Turner is well loved on the scene. He caught the eye of MGM records in 1967 and released several 45s and an LP including his big hit Stand By Me, plus the popular crossover track I Can't Make It Anymore. Through the 70s and 80s Spyder partnered with Norman Whitfield and released 2 LPs and wrote and performed music for film soundtracks. Having now returned to Detroit, Spyder continues to record and is still performing in the US and abroad.to enthusiastic audiences.
