I do agree with some of your point's but to name names is a bit low, why not use the pm route to let people know how you feel, and yes i do think some on the scene are trying to dictate as to what should and should'nt be played at venues, but the paying public will decide as to what they want to hear and by whom. And i for one do just that, i have also in the past promoted various soul night's but not on the scale as Goldsoul's and it's such a thankless task, then out of the blue you get some kind word's and it makes it all worthwhile. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL.

Has there ever been a Northern gig with 4 decks with 4 jocks taking a deck each and having a Northern soundclash? Now THAT would be interesting..... Well here you go now this system is state of the art,it's in a local club and all the country's top dj's use it. but on one occasion we had a Northern night on and a very well known dj was playing of a laptop,really spoilt for me that night.

When i had my 40th i asked my 2 kids if they wanted to bring a few friends along with them and told them that it was going to be an across the board northern soul night, they both agreed and it was great to watch 6 kid's aged between 11 & 15 dancing to everything played they were drenched in sweat and thought it was fantastic, and so did many of the other people who had been invited, many commenting on how great it was to see young un's dancing to soul music. And subsequently i have taken them to Piercebridge in the past and they thought that was great aswell, so come on get your young un's out with you it's fantastic to see there faces as they watch and try to copy the people dancing.

The man's got the voice of an Angel, It's so sad to hear this news.

Im sorry to be the bearer of bad news but a well known figure around Middlesbrough was found dead last week his name is PAUL DEBRICK he was the author behind the book "THE BRICK" which chronicled his life as a leader of the Middlesbrough Frontline, Paul was a long time follower of Northern Soul and went to Wigan Casino at the age of 15 and also went to Cleethorpes, Morcambe, etc and was alway's at the Newton Aycliffe Allnighter's. Whenever i used to see Paul he would alway's ask for tapes and cd's so he could train to as he was a passionate body builder also. Paul leaves behind 4 son's the youngest being only 5.

Went a few times whilst i was working down in Essex with Rob Messer and his wife, also went with Paul Macnamara had some great night's, good memory's and bad head's the next day. Yeah Great times

I was wondering who you would most like to see live at a venue ie Prestatyn, i would like to see The Dells again as they just blew me away that night at The Trentham Gardens Stoke and i'd like to see Phil Perry or The Montclairs, that's if there all still with us.
