Just watched it over here in Kazakhstan via Youtube, I thought it was a pretty good effort, the clothes Yes, they did and do make me cringe a bit. Fair play to the young guy putting the nights on, big respect to you fella.
I've always found the Easington soul nights to be a very friendly venue and with a good atmosphere, it's sad that the minority always seem to spoil things for the majority. It's also a sorry state of life now that you'll bump into pissheads werever or whatever type of venue or function you attend.
Shame your shutting the second room Bob, I would'nt.
Lori & Lance is a great tune, I remember the scramble from folk wanting to know it when I first played it out years ago, & it is very cheap I've seen it go for 80-100 pounds in the past.
A good friend of mine is looking for a copy of
Barbara McNair - You're gonna love my baby - BRITISH DEMO TMG544 (Red & White)
It must be near to mint condition, please pm with your name and contact number so that I can pass onto my mate.
Cash Waiting
Thanks

Rest in peace & free from pain my auld mate, we had some laughs in the early years. Wally
Tell Boasy I was asking after him, 2 good lads together again.
Just to answer a question, The guy was from Middlesbrough and he was immediately barred from the soul club in question and the clubs committee also barred him from the clubs premises. As for other clubs within the North -East area it's down to the promoters as to who they let in through thier doors, as we all know some promoters don't give a damn just as long as the place is getting body's in. (Cash is king to some)
My wife was on the dancefloor some months ago when a fight broke out behind her and she ended up recieving a blow to the face which resulted in a swollen nose and bruising to her eyes. I won't name the guy responsible but he is known for being a nuisance on the dancefloor when trying to dance (especially in the North -East), let's just say that revenge will be sweet. We have now stopped attending any venues within the North-East area due to my wife not wanting to see the idiot in question.
My Mother used to attend a club im Middlesbrough called The Outlook which was owned by the McCoy family, I remember my Mam telling me about her night's in there dancing to all the American Soul Music (her words ). I have some great pictures of my Mam from the early 60's wearing some fantastic oufits.
