  1. I can't understand why people want to keep this great music a secret!! I don't always like the sampled tracks, but it does get the music out there to a wider audience. Not that I play it out much, but it's amazing to see the affect of 'Sliced Tomatoes' on a general audience, always gets the dancefloor going. All music is rehashed ideas in some form or another, most of the decent sampled tracks are used as a basis for new tracks and aren't just cover versions, unlike that recent awful version of ' Heartache Avenue'. I remember in the late 80's when samples were being used completely illegally and the copyright organisations had a nightmare trying to track down what was being used, loads of songs had there royalties on hold while the interested parties slogged it out with lawyers. 2. All the recording of this top Gladys Knight track are poor scratchy quality, even the one on the spectrum CD. They must have lost/misplaced the mastertape. The spectrum tracks must be a vinyl acetate dub. TTM
  3. This supreme anthem of MLK's Freedom speech backed by an instrumental version of Bernadette can be heard on the soulclub.org, https://www.soulclub.org/stream/The_Funk_Br...ave_A_Dream.ram There's extra bass from James Jamerson showing he's one of the best players of the genre. Where's it from??
