was there in the week, very poor... that area is not what it was I'm afraid... Id prefer to go to Soul brother records in Putney, or over to Camden Lock..

yes sounds of universe is poor and they are pretty arrogant / rude in my experience. servers think a little too much of themselves.

soul brother on the other hand are proper. used to live in putney its very nice.

if the poster wants to sell it to his missus threres lovely walks by the river

and they are still clueless enough to miss zeros off things.

does the notting hill one still had a large funk and soul 7s section upstairs?

This was on my large list from yesterday, but I want to give it its own topic considering the rarity. Thanks to Psamsara for his message.

some light clicks here and there but plays well overall, some light distortion which seems inherent to pressing, not bad, please check clip below, which has some of each side

Serious quality 70s SoCal soul and one of only two known copies right now....

ANTHONY WATSON - I CANT STOP THIS FEELING - SRO M- £25 Twice this on one list today on here. Very hip sound with the kids right now which means its on the up in price.... and much cheaper than Prasz pressing.

DYKE & THE BLAZERS - RUNAWAY PEOPLE - ORIGNAL SOUND VG++ £12 Super little stringy soul number with loads of grit and funk. For £12 quid a hard one to ignore. Usually goes for way higher than this.

THE SUPERLATIVES - COME ON DOWN TO THE GHETTO - WALLY  M- £10 Super little funky ghetto soul tune.

THE END RESULTS - REMENICING / ONLY SOLUTION - MOTION CITY  M- £20 Fine 2 sider for the money one sweet with a beat and one funky socilally concious lyriced tune on the flip. Manhips had these up at £50 all gone.

LITTLE HOOKS AND RAY NATO - GIVE THE DRUMMER SOME - ENJAY VG+ £30 First pressing people who bought TNT The Meditation might like this, similar vibe.

BOBBY RUSH - WAKE UP - SALEM M- £15 Great funky one and cheap.

  6. the issue you describe definitely makes me think twice these days before making a puchase from outside our eurozone and as someone who would vote to leave the EU it may get worse if theres enough of us.

where id be carefree a few years ago with what i buy im more cautious because if charges and increased postage rates. not because im skint its a point of principle and simple economics. unless its something i really want or a bigger ticket item i wont bother.

ive almost stopped blind buying now used to do a lot of that especially with gopsel going back 10 years or more. its easier to justify if postage is a fiver not tenner and i avoid anyone who wont play ball with putting a low figure on the customs sticker as well.

it definitely makes me buy less cheaper end stuff. the higher the valiue of the record usually means i can con myself into mentally sucking up the fees as part of the cost and therefore theprocess.

THE SPARTANS - I DONT NEED ANOTHER LOVER / FORGET HER NAME - ERA EX £230

Two stunning 70s sides that have been played at many a nighter recently by many a top DJ. Sought after tune in good nick here and at least 33% of most list prices.  Recent Cliff Steele spin and one John Anderson apparently stumped up cash on the spot for after hearing. High praise indeed.

RAWL SOUL EXPRESS - THE WAY WE LIVE -  CAT - M- £360

Their best tune by far, hyper clean. Auctions for almsot twice this in this condition.

RAMSEY AND CO - LOVE CALL - RAMCO M- £575  SOLD SOLD

Colin Curtis discovery that will never turn up in bulk due to never being pressed in bulk.  A definite rarity.
