This bloke is a joke.I ordered a £6 45 from his website last week.one of two listed at the same price of £6.The one i ordered was in ex condition and i made it clear that that was my choice when placing my order.When i confrmed payment had been sent,i made a comment-not the one with the label damage......So what arrives in the post on Saturday? Yep,the one with the label damage ( which is actually also warped).On checking his website the same day i notice the one i had ordered is now listed at £20!! The cheeky git also charged me £3 for post.Ok a couple of stiffeners in a jiffy bag!! Nice!! Had a 45 arrive in the mail the day before from JM...Now that's the way to do business,and at £2 post as well. Oh by the way,i have been buying 45's via the mail on-and-off since 1968.Les Ash.

Hey Colin,that Fab Apollas-Determination was a steal.I earned £7-50 a week back then.....Could have bought at least seven and a half of 'em!! I am very saddened to learn this news.It was always 'Hi,is that Tim? No it's Rick' when i phoned.I met him only once when i rocked-up at the mill because i was up that way,on business.Both Rick and Tim were most accommodating to an unexpected visitor,and showed me around with such proud courtesey,even though there had been a recent sewer problem,whereby initially i thought i'd walked in to the aftermath of a world championship farting contest.I still have a whole bunch of the paper sales lists: 'just found a pile of these under Ricks' train spotting magazines'!! Actually saw Mike Raven DJ here in Gloucester,at The Library.I think it was around 1970/71.I would have been around 14/15yrs old.He was a scary looking cat,loads of whiskers on his 'boat' i seem to recall.Happy (early) days.Les.

Yes Richard,good call.Jerry Hipkiss (currently banging tunes out at Soul Fusion)on Severnsound here in Gloucester like almost 30 years ago,and still broadcasting to this day,Gloucesterfm.com,0800-1100 five days a week.Also Colin Day ('Dayo' on here) in 1984 on Radio Wyvern on a Saturday night...Got me collecting again,skint ever since!!What a lovely guy and a great voiceover..voice! On Radio Wyvern 97.6fm.Allways a great broadcast between 6-8pm playing the latest soul cuts,and not forgetting the 'A-Z of soul' which after hearing Just a little misunderstanding got me off and running collecting again after having sold my first collection in 1973!! Might that be the Four Pro's,because a promoter,dj,cleared his OWN dancefloor with 'Just another girl' here back in the summer.I wasn't there,he told me.However,he cut it short and rescued the situation with a Harold Melvin 70's chart filler!!
