  1. Didn't happen, lovely guy, still looking, wish you luck mate
  2. I thought that, i.e. Bit disappointed, all in all a bit short on the soul sides, the 4 or so best 45s on musette were no where to be seen..... m
  3. Hard one, these days I think life's too short, another member on here really attacked some chap on the feedback, he shall be nameless, we have all done it, there is life outside SS, and sometimes folk just plain forget... but actually selling a 45 while it's essentially on hold till the night, that's just not in the spirit of soul source... all this said there is a whole new army of sellers on the market, and I've found some of them to be right crooks.... buy and sell to people you know...The rest, put it down to experience m
  4. yep, 40 or 60, it's a big oldie and all that, but in today's silly money times, id spend that in a jiffy.... actually I paid 75 for my second copy last year of Sammy on here, so Pete was spot on with his valuation... in my mind... :-/
  5. Where do I start Gav.... well obviously my post is very tounge in cheek, I suffer the same addiction we all do, and like you I shell out occasionally well over what I should... my comments on bootlegs or reissue stands up though, At s station so will pick this up later mal
  6. Pete just buttering us all up for the re post of that now infamous 'cairstairs' picture...
  7. That's bloody good for 60 quid, see my rant on the prices of northern soul 45's.... there are sane folk out there!
  8. Northern soul collecting!! Is it a con? An overwhelming 'Yes'... Well having just read an email update I got from a well known dealer who I won't mention, I'd have to say so.... the prices that are being quoted on common cheap records is absolutely gob smacking! I dont think ill I'll get much praise for saying this from you wheeler dealers on here, but I'm sorry you would have to be a fool to pay these prices, my opinion, you are throwing your money away, literally... Robert Thomas - Salvation, is a 20 quid record tops, and probably will return to about that rate in the future, if your idea of fun is bidding on a 45 like this with a starting price of 15o quid, why? 2nd issues worth 100 quid, what the hell is that all about, don Gardner is a holy grail, no amount or red look alike label is going to give you the rush of actually felling like you have parted 5k on it... If your reading this and saying this guys lost it, then maybe, but if your Also guilty of paying any of these prices, your clearly mad! Don't know if anybody has the balls to follow that unruly outburst, but if you feel the same, tell us about it and send a message !!! Malcolm
  9. Joe Hinton - You Know it Ain't Right (Australian W&G) Nice copy wanted, sleeve always welcome if you have one, contact me on here.. Cheers Malcolm
  10. Fabulous track, so glad I only paid a tenner for it! Article sounds good love to find out more about this recording, and the original
  11. For reference, obviously thats not the actual 45 I'm selling... sheer Class!! :-)
  12. Hi all, found I have two copies of this track, 'Muddy Water' would have been the official A side, but ' I'm not the One' is an absolute classic deep soul 45... worth every penny... so gonna keep the WD sell the black issue, which in its self is very nice to look at,,:-)) Larry Banks - I'm not the One / Muddy Water / Kapp EX++ (very small chip on the outside edge, its hardly noticeable and dnap). £35 Post 2.50 for 1st Class signed for within the UK.
  13. hey dodger, not seen your email mate, do you want to pip it over again>?
  14. send your list to: arkanoid300@hotmail.com cheers Mal:_)
  15. which is the best imo.. brilliant track :-))
  16. I dont get it, you would think folk who have been in and around collecting soul 45's would just know thats wrong, there was nothing 6ts about it other than the recorded music... that goes for allot of the other stuff that gets sold, who is this army of people who are paying silly money for these dodgy 45's....? Ive never met em, but they sure do seem to be out there...
  17. all I know is the green label is the best one, there are 3 different mixes I think on this track... 4 with Cals effort.
  18. The Ascots - graveyard creep / crazy Cajon Also by James Duhon on Jet Stream defo different cut with added screams!
  19. This is another that sounds the same to me, but hey the creadit and issue number are different: Young folk / Miss Madeline : Lonely Girl /MarVlus That Maurice Jackson does get a gold sticker, you pulled that one out Alan...
  20. Hi all, this is a good one, class tracks that got cut by a group and then singularly by a group member, which is generally as good, and in allot of cases allot rarer... so, the Invicibles - Crying Heart / Audio Arts (green label mix is best) also released by Cal Gilbert - Crying Heart / Audio Arts The New Sounds - Sweet Memories / Turbo Lp Also released by Robert Tanner - Sweet Memories / Megatone Any more out there worth a mention... mal
  21. god, I just glanced, and assumed it must be that scan.. . Christ this guy couldn't even make a good job of a bootleg could he... what a crappy effort..
  22. I and others said this would happen when that real copy came up on Evil bay a few months back, complete with very nice hi res scans of the top and flip sides... i wont be bidding, but the scan looks great in me i-Tunes...
  23. didn't take long did it... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bootleg-Northern-Soul-The-Hurting-Is-Over-Arthur-Willis-And-Soulful-Dynamics/162329222614?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D38661%26meid%3Daa1c4a4639cc47159e8de3eeb47c0b00%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Des%26sd%3D322355917141
