  2. Bought mine in 2004/5, paid ten bucks, and sold for £50... I think I dropped one there, never keen on it personally, sounds out of tune to my ears...

  6. a mighty selection of tracks for sale...
  7. who knows pal, just make it up, everybody else does....
  8. been a copy of Valerie Hebert & Extra Kicks in a certain London record shop for years, still there last time I was in, Ive nearly, so many times but as said above, its not up to much :-(( Mal
  9. I Don't think Ive ever seen one of these D-Town Devotional Series 45s before, I'm sure the Detroit collectors on here know them well, but for those of us who dont, cool aren't they.. :-)) Love a list, anybody got any more of these, I feel a listing coming on... Mal:-)
  10. I like playing the above one more than my original copy, Bought the SOS 45 in the 8ts, had no money, all I could afford at the time, excluding a small amount for my beer money... its lived with me that old 45.....
  11. the shadows no other love / usa, is that the flip to 'my love has gone' ?
  12. Just listening to an mp3 of Monique - If You Love Me, and then my gold copy and noticed one version has Tambourine, one does not.... might be some weird recording i guess, but there are two labels of this release, gold and orange / white, are the two different takes perhaps? Im sure this has been discussed before, but I got all excited there for a moment... :-/ Mal;_)
  13. Vegetable rights and peas... sheer class....
  14. Music is for everybody.... that's my opinion. As for Divs, were all divs for paying the current prices of 45s, that said I've stopped buying Northern soul 45s, I'll come back to it, But I won't pay the prices anymore... love it all though, oldies, new oldies, undiscovered oldies, exclusive oldies, and plain old oldies... there all old int they... laughs does that exclude me from being a Div? What ho!
  15. Great listening again Chris, really enjoyed this little series:-)))
  16. I would have thought they would have included the unreleased June Jackson sides, if they had access to tapes or masters? that alone would have sold the CD..
  17. Didn't happen, lovely guy, still looking, wish you luck mate
  18. I thought that, i.e. Bit disappointed, all in all a bit short on the soul sides, the 4 or so best 45s on musette were no where to be seen..... m
  19. Hard one, these days I think life's too short, another member on here really attacked some chap on the feedback, he shall be nameless, we have all done it, there is life outside SS, and sometimes folk just plain forget... but actually selling a 45 while it's essentially on hold till the night, that's just not in the spirit of soul source... all this said there is a whole new army of sellers on the market, and I've found some of them to be right crooks.... buy and sell to people you know...The rest, put it down to experience m
  20. yep, 40 or 60, it's a big oldie and all that, but in today's silly money times, id spend that in a jiffy.... actually I paid 75 for my second copy last year of Sammy on here, so Pete was spot on with his valuation... in my mind... :-/
  21. Where do I start Gav.... well obviously my post is very tounge in cheek, I suffer the same addiction we all do, and like you I shell out occasionally well over what I should... my comments on bootlegs or reissue stands up though, At s station so will pick this up later mal
  22. Pete just buttering us all up for the re post of that now infamous 'cairstairs' picture...
  23. That's bloody good for 60 quid, see my rant on the prices of northern soul 45's.... there are sane folk out there!
