Actually here is s forth, Jocelyn Brown - Somebody’s else’s Guy VG++ dub side, VG+ vocal side, £4 vocal side has s load of rub, but only reason folk wanted the UK 4th Broadway release as apposed to the Vinyl Dreams 12, is the Dub version, which is a brilliant track in its own right... !! Best Malcolm

Hi all, got doubles on all these so each one is a fiver, with £5 post in the Uk. Elsewhere just state where and I’ll quote you. Aretha Franklin - (it’s just) You Love / Arista Ex++ / £5 utterly sublime track by Aretha from 1982, co written by Luther Vandross Jamie Principle - Date with the Rain / Uk white demo Ex++ £5 House Guru and Chicago legend! Same 4 mixes as with the US Atlantic release, Uk demo copy, Radio mix is the one you want! Every bit as good as the other versions... Denis Austin - I’ll shine for you / I need your help/ Expansion records EX+ / £5 released in 1993, ‘I need your help’ is the standout track, Denis has got a great voice on a nice mid tempo tune... Cheers Malcolm

Yep, totally feasible... so assuming that is correct both the 45s I’ve put up are pressed June/July 67, and the 45 with ‘I’ll tell the World’ is the 66 release... still which label design of You’ll never make the grade’ came first, who knows... but at a guess the orange one, but that’s just a guess...

So given the Yellow / brown star releases reportably also has delta # 67031 but is only on the flip which appears on both 45’s, and importantly labels, it was released in 67, but why s disc with a 66 delta also carries that shared flip from the future, I’m none the wiser... some one work that out cause it’s done my noodle...

Ok here are two I have delta and a MJ### prefix, I guess that relates to ‘Mutt - Jeff” something like that? I’m not known for my ability on the Times crossword, but having taken a look at the delta dates for the two below I have unearthed the following astounding facts! Sunlovers - Mutt - Jeff 18 You’ll never make the grade - delta # 67031 MJ 009 (June/July 1967) This Love of Ours - delta # 67031-x. MJ-010 (June/July 1967) Sunlovers - Breakthrough 1002 My Poor Heart - delta # 62161 MJ-016 (June/July 1966) This Love of Ours - delta # 67031-x. MJ-010 (June/July 1967)

This is all good stuff, and great reading, however, I have to say we are still no nearer to knowing which came first.. laughing

Hi all, wonder what actually is the first press of this 45? Is it the yellow with stars, or the Orange with solid type, no logo? best Mal

Anybody got Tony Middleton on Polydor, or any good RCA soul releases, any good festival, Astor, EMI / Stateside white labels or test presses... and I need just a few W&G soul releases now, what you got? In fact did W&G ever do white test pressed, I’ve never seen any.., always prefer orig sleeves, I have loads to swap if you are interested..or I’ll buy single sleeves if they are in mint condition... need Sue, Astor, W&G, festival (blue/white) Atlantic, Coral etc cheers all mal

What a tune ... -

Ha ha, we all got caught out on that one, took me years to find the studio one, couple dealers in Japan have copies btw, and they are not expensive

Two 7s as far as I know under the ‘Soul Supply’ logo, first was an EP with 4 tracks taken from ‘that Beatin rhythm’ LP, (black label red writing) which has superlatives, Eddie foster et al on... then a 45 using the same label design as the early lp’s (beige label) with The Majestics - I love her so much it hurts’ on one side and the only reissue I think of the Sequins - Try my love / the Detroit sound. do treasure these45s even though they are not original that’s all I had to listen to back then, I could have never afforded the original copies...
