  2. Wow, I want it
  3. Should have guessed.. cheers Mike
  4. Guys where do I get these tracks in MP3?
  5. Got this on Japanese 7inch with that pic cover, so not lp only... vocals from Luther van dross, and did you know the blonde in the picture cover at the back is Paula Yates....
  6. Cally49 has J J BARNES - BORN AGAIN for sale which has the blinding ‘cant see me leaving you’ snd the sublime ‘wishful thinking’ think the only tracks that made a 45, are ‘you are a living doll’ flipped with another track from the lp..
  7. I think Lou Courtney’s tracks did get releases on CBS in Germany, ie the ones that didn’t get a release in the states Chalkey... I’ll check I had to have every release from that lp at one time and there is a German only coupling you don’t get anywhere else..
  8. Betty Everett - there’ll come a time / Uni for ‘Your falling in Love’ i think Eddie Holman’s Sal soul Lp has the lp only ‘Where have you been’ all of my life, which is a stunning track.. Wilson Williams Lp with ‘I like being on love’ plus two other killers goes for dosh but it’s essential!
  9. Loads, get the Acots Lp on Crazy Cajon for a load of lp only tracks Mighty Ryders - spread the message for Evil Vibrations, lew Kirtin - just arrived for ‘something special’ marlena Shaw - sweet beginnings for ‘look at me, look at you’ the Eliminators / loving explosion / BRC for ‘LovingExplosion’ Ralph Graham / Differently for Ain’t no need (Sussex) Betty Wright - Explosion \ Alston for ‘Keep Feelin’ also has ‘Open the door to your heart’ as a bonus, which did get a 7 release in Italy on RCA I think both Walter Jacksons Chi City Lps have updated versions of ‘Welcome home’ on Feelin good, the other one o can’t quite remember. you must buy Tyrone Ashley’s LP in Truth & Soul that me out 2007 for the brilliant ‘Cant Stay Away’ plus others jack ashford - Hotel sheet for Ill fly to your running arms / Magic Disc smoke - risin - obviously!! Beres Hammond - soul Reggae for ‘Don’t wait too long’ on Waterlilly Jamaican Press, he has other also on different lps Gloria Lynn does a great job of Betty everett’s ‘Ive just gotta tell somebody’ on her ‘I’m in love’ lp, DJM in the uk, don’t know the yank label... All of Randy Browns lps on Parachute / Chocolate city etc got uk releases also via Pye, have loads of quality 7ts lp only tracks Dianne Reeves - welcome to my love has lots of 7ts jazz influences tracks that are blinding... god there are loads, that said you know the fad record companies now do by giving these tracks a45 release, it’s ok but I prefer the orig lp personally :/) good hunting
  10. I was in Dorset a few weeks back waiting for Liza to attend an appointment, kicking my heels, look up and low and behold ‘Record fair today’ outside a church! have say I’ve always found Dorset a great place to find soul records, I’ve no idea why that is but it was nice little surprise on hot and dusty sat afternoon, and I found a few nice 45s from tower of power, some good early james brown demos on king, and a lovely copy of Freddie Norths LP on Abet for 10 quid... take that! Mal
  11. Got that one mate, but thank you.
  12. Ok so having checked i have a splattering of egg on my shirt, I have #80, so you are not rude Dylan, and I’ve not won the pools! interesting though, I can think of half a dozen other tracks that are lesser known that had multiple releases or multiple release numbers, that are well worth mentioning... The Charay label for starters, and that Mutt-Jeff label we were chatting about last week, both a minefield of releases with same song different flips... loads of major label white label promos obviously didn’t get the flip side that appeared on the release copies, black and Blue on mercury, Sly Slick Wicked - Sho nuff on People Demo, with People get ready on the issue... god there are loads...too many to mention... Loads of releases with short / long versions, Romana Clark comes to mind, and Johnny Scott - let me be a winner / Portra, But also others that are less expensive but nice to have: Betty Swan - closed for the season / I’m Lonely for you / Capitol with ‘Don’t touch me being the more common less good flip side. Hope the seller does well and the thread has highlighted what he has on offer :/) Mal
  13. Change that, seller wants £1600 sterling!! 👁
  14. VANGUARDS - BEFORE YOU TAKE ANOTHER STEP / THE THOUGHT OF LOSING YOUR LOVE (LAMP RECORDS #86) well blow me 1500 dollars for this? I paid 10 bucks for mine, always thought ‘thought of loosing you’ came out a few times, but surly worth the same they all go for 20 quid tops... or am i missing something? I normally am.. mal
  15. Day on the Beach in West Wales :/)
  16. Real random stuff... The second coming! View from the side, And from a great height! Not nsesasararley in that order!
  17. I think I’m that member who needs to spend time in this listing, sorry folks Sept is the end of my companies financial year, squeeky bum time ! As they sometimes say... maybe over the weekend:-) Mal
  18. Only reason I went...
  19. If you go downstairs at Neptoon, there are some great original 25 count boxes of Canadian Motown tracks, and some interesting ‘Gimp’ furniture!!
  20. Anybody got Tony Middleton on Polydor, or any good RCA soul releases, any good festival, Astor, EMI / Stateside white labels or test presses... always prefer orig sleeves, I have loads to swap if you are interested..or I’ll buy single sleeves if they are in mint condition... need Sue, Astor, W&G, festival (blue/white) Atlantic, Coral etc cheers all Mal
  21. Laughing... I wonder having had so many labels named after wives and girlfriends, whether that power also went into the design of the label! I’m sure it did :/)
  22. I’m out and about, but there seems to be a logic forming regarding these releases, the breakthrough ones being 67/68, fall during and after the Mutt-Jeff releases, you can see what the rationale is wit the couplings and what tracks were put out. Regarding the Sunlovers two label designs, im wondering whether this difference is down to the pressing plant, each plant had an art department and depending on the customers spend would produce a simple plain type label or a designed one, I think the starred ones overlap the breakthrough releases, as a new push to get a hit. The delta numbers do substantiate this. i need to go over this again and I’ll come back with more releases from the sources Chalkey has mentioned. Go from there.... Mal
  23. Hi all, two doubles below, I now have Jay Wiggins on JW, and a nice WD on Baby Washington, so these are sitting there needing a new home, won’t break the bank and they are very nice copies of two solid sixties sides. Baby Washington - your fool / run my heart / Sue Ex++ dh. £15 Jay Wiggins - My Linley Girl / IPG Ex++ £40 (vinyl copy) Postage £4 recorded (insures up to £50) within the uk, outside just say where you are and I’ll quote you. Best wishes Mal
  24. Noticed that Dave Rimmer has more titles for this label but some of his years don’t match what we have above, there is no delta matrix info on his entries...
  25. Was told a Larry Levine Paradise Garage double Cd , is worth some money... although I can see some cheap ones on discogs.., I was lucky the agency I worked at the time was speaking to the label to do a license deal for images and our rep gave me a ton of product from them for free... :/) good cd as well...
