  1. O.k they are NOT songs about Christmas, I'm sure you gonna be able to get loads of that stuff from your local radio station. Thought I'd get into the Crimbo spirit, god knows we need it.. Loads of styles here folks, all TOP quality, and in my usual style, it's actually a mistake but I like to make it sound deliberate, you get a double helping of "Johnny Davis - You Got to Crawl to Me" which is my favorite track this week! also check out DJ Duane, doin it in the D.J Booth, calling all Cars! Hope you enjoy them Happy Christmas folks! Mal
  2. final one, one of the first Lps I ever bought when I was really only into sixties Northern, this track got into my DNA early on...
  3. And this, smooth as you like... well cool track as for Collins and Collins, well thats me Y mi esposa!
  4. Loads of mine already listed, here are some more I absolutely adore Infinity - Put Everything in Place Sage - I'm alive Cecil Shaw - This I've Gotta See Keni Lewis - Aint Gonna Make it Easy
  5. I'll sort through the racks, come up with a larger list, I collect anything as long as I like it, so i maybe Northern or two step, these days its all Soul to me..
  6. Isn't rare a definition of scarce and hard to come by? there are hundreds of semi known LP's that on the whole miss the glare of the collectors... are those the titles your after? Soul Inc. ‎– Live! At The Cellar / Emblem George Scott - Find Someone to Love / Maple Lou Ragland is the Conveyor / Mighty Ryders - Help us Spread the Message / Sun Geo Leon Thomas - Blues and soulful truth / Flying Dutchman Odyssey - Moest Dont get hung up on Rare, the soundtrack to "Claudine" by Gladys Knight & the Pips is worth a tenner, but its a brilliant Lp better than thousands of supposedly rare soul Lp's.. Mal

  9. Interesting, is Sammy Acuna a national release of "Sammy" - I Never Found a Love on Sly Records?
  10. Just listened to this, great show with conversation from Rodd Bland, about his father.. This week on the Caravan we have Members Only: A Tribute to Bobby Blue Bland. Produced by Memphis musician Rodd Bland, son of the late blues icon, the tribute is held at B. B. King’s Blues Club on Beale Street during Blues Music Awards weekend. Special guests include Sugaray Rayford, Mike Ledbetter, Ashton Riker, Andy Duncanson, John Nemeth, and Tom Wurth. BSC contributor Jim Spake also returns to continue his series, “Crazy About the Saxophone” on the legendary sidemen that played rock’s original lead instrument.

  19. do think that performance was lip synced?
  20. Just playing my copy of George Scott LP "Find someone to Love', totally forgot there was a version of 'Family Tree' by, and this is where the penny dropped, Jimmy 'Norman' Scott. So, writing credits are listed as Jimmy Norman Scott, and the sleeve notes of this LP say he is one of nine, in fact it says the 'eight', from Pinewood, South Carolina. Produced by Johnny Brantley, who I remember was mentioned as a contact by John Anderson in that great interview at a soul weekender on google. I can ask google, but I'd prefer to as you lot, I'm assuming they are brothers? if so must have been in a group together before both being solo, be good to find out more. Mal
