On all Lawn Discographies Lawn L-248 is Dick & the Deamonds, however there are a few Demo copies of this release under the name 'Jesse James'. Who knows whether it's a really early song by the same Jesse James of 'Love Affair' fame, but >>here<< is a thread Derek Pearson started on this rare 45 back in 2010. Symphonic Four - Who do you Think You're Fooling (Part 1/2) / Zudan EX++ £250 Fabulous record, and from what I can see this has seen allot of interest recently online, went for allot more than this recently on Ebay, about the track I guess what you might call a Low Rider track, or Sweet Soul 45, be honest in the 9ts tracks like these were just good, so you bought em... Rose Royce - Stronger than Ever / Epic EX++ vinyl and sleeve £10 ** SOLD ** Includes the brilliant 'Still in Love', which is a silly money 12 inch these days, they cut some other great tracks as well as this, a million miles form 'El Coche era" ! see I can't the word... The Choice Four - The Finger Pointers / RCA EX++ vinyl and sleeve £10 EX++ Includes 'If I Don't Love you' also done by Bobby Reed on his expensive Bell 45, this is a slower version than Bobby's, and really nice. I didn't realise until I read the cover, that both 'Choice Four' and 'Bobby Reed' were both from Washington, and of course this is a Van McCoy Production, was Van from Washington also? Millie Jackson - Still caught Up / Polydor (UK) EX++ vinyl and sleeve £15 EX++ ** SOLD ** Should need no introduction, reissued loads of times, most recently by Kent Records I think, includes the stunning 'You Can't Stand The Thought Of Another Man Loving Me' which was it's original release on this LP. Obviously there is a narrative throughout this LP, and it's blinding brilliant!! 'I Still Love You (You Still Love Me) is another favorite, but its just an awesome Lp on its original UK release, for a tenner or so, need I say more! * I have the whole Lp as a MP3 also, so you can have that as well with the vinyl... No scans unfortunately, they dont fit in my scanner, but I have grabbed scans of all three of the net for reference.. This is one of 4 copies of this iconic acetate found by Ady Croasdell at the estate of Jerry Purcell. Ady confirmed to me there were only four of these acetates that he brought back. So this track never got a USA 7 inch release, it did come out on one of their LP's 'Born Free' and also in France I think on Kapp 45 or EP, this acetate is an absolute beauty and a big collectors disc, Ive had it for two or so years and it's in exactly the same condition as when I bought it. also Kent Select 45s all £15 the pair, you pay post.
