cheers guys I've got 3 more sets ready in my i-tunes library, its a matter of going through tracks you really like, or a rare 45 which I like but does it really hit the spot? is it a track I get an immediate YES from? if it isn't, its out... That Ballads is just so classy Ed, it's a perfect soul record... I like the other version they did, but those strings, gad dam!

thats the reality this time of year isn't it, allot of road kill, and dead young for many reasons. We got otters in our local lake last week, mother and two pups, they killed 15 carp between them, I like otters but those carp were upto 25lb in weight, very old ones too... just nature I guess..

was wondering where this band had gone, I reckon they are one of the best of the first wave of neo soul bands that came up in the footsteps of Winehouse, Dapkings,et al... A Badass band! this is great news they have an LP coming, I'd love to see them live... -
Freddie Chavez - 3315£ god dam, well its an ok oldie, but at that money I could go out and but some serious 45's of quality.... each to their own I guess...
-
oh WOW... Frankie Karl on the swirl design
-
well said, this thread is great but it's ovenchip centric...

If you follow @marianefeli on Mixcloud you will know about her amazing elegant mixes that she posted every week from Athens in Greece; packed with neo-classical, acoustic and ambient music, they are all truly inspiring mixes! if you don't already, find her on Mixcloud and follow her! Well I thought I'd have a go at something like that, but given my love for pop art, eclectic sixties music and imagery filled with saturated colour, I was always going to produce something a bit more cultist and maybe etherial! Don't wrorry, Terry Callier & Donny Hathaway are both in this one, Hope you enjoy it Malcolm Track Listing Blade Runner - Memories Of Green Donny Hathaway - Someday We'll All Be Free Björk - Come To Me Ver Vlads - Crazy Ivan Deee-Lite - Riding On Through Julie Driscoll & Brian Auger & The Trinity - Looking in the Eye of the World Ani Williams - Flight-from-Palestine Tyler Bates - A Higher Place Nick Cave - Let It Be Damh The Bard - Twa Corbies Julie Driscoll & Brian Auger & The Trinity - A Word About Colour Terry Callier - Lazarus Man Linda Perhacs - Dolphin Sarathy Korwar & Upaj Collective - Your East is my West : Haji Julia Holter - Hello Stranger

every week, just staggering amounts of money... for pretty common tracks allot of them, we all get it, but honestly, I could never buy these type of titles again, how could you collect seriously with this kind of money pushing prices up so much... I just dont think Joe Jama is worth any where near that at all, even for a minter...

Like the blue and red one on the barbed wire, he's a handsome devil! Steve I think your like Dr Doolittle, creatures seem to follow you! lol

Welcome folks, was listening to an old Dave Godin interview, where I heard Fascinations 'Trusting In You'. I didn't have an MP3 so out went the call for the Sequel CD from 20 yrs back, the response from Alan T was phenomenal! Big thanks to you mate this week So I got the CD with all the Mayfield's recordings, thats the group the Mayfield's, & the Fascinations recordings that they put out, and then to top, a collection of Curtis Mayfield Camad Publishing Demos from 1970 / 71, so those were Publisher cuts to sell his songs basically, not for commercial release but oh so good ! Mix-cloud won't allow me to just put up songs by same artist because of copy write control, but I've woven them into a selection of tracks all penned by Curtis. Desert Island disc this one, never met anybody who doesn’t ‘crumble' to Curtis! enjoy the music Mal

I had many Lp's from Miami when I was there couple decades ago, that had literally just been shipped over, and a bunch of 45's I got another chap in Vancover who said to me he had bought the very same 45s from the Uk when he had visited last in the 8ts.. stuff moves in mysterious ways... Not least Northern Spain, allot of rare soul in Northern Spain...my favourite part of the world

Anybody got the CD, The Fascinations out to Getcha CD / Sequel ? and did 'Trusting in you' ever get a 45 release? **SORTED ** from a very giving 'Soul' Mal
