  2. funny one Ruben Howell, I heard Jimmy Elledge fist so that's my favorite, and Carl Carlton is second... Ruben although a great song, is expensive now, maybe its because that the one that was played in the clubs? but I don't see the 'hoo harr' about it... that Prophecy 'Rain in My Life' is sooooo good, serious bit of soul music!!
  3. Is this one expensive because its a demo Ralph?
  4. Mine are: The Vibe-Creators - I don't wanna be lonely, which I got off Alvaro in Leon, good Spanish Group I missed in 2010 flip is great as well... Portrait - Love You From Now On, not on YT, but this is seriously good Mary Saxton - Is It Better To Live Or To Die, mines off the Lp.. The Jaynetts - Be My Boy Friend, Kent CD, don't know if it got a 45 release?? good one to swing your PANTS!

  7. Hi folks, just done another nigher at Trinity waters in Somerset, very nice visit. Blanked on this one, lots of bites but missed all of them, in fact I think I was attracting Tench and they don't really act in the same way as carp, they are generally smaller and a bolt rig isn't the right way to catch them I did get a new friend on peg 27 though....he ate all my mini cheadars!
  8. Hi there, this is a part two of a mix I did at Christmas, all sixties R&B, Northern Soul, Sixties Soul with some classic R&B Mod records thrown in... 9. loads of favorite slowies there, Lee Bonds, Little Ann & Reuben Bell are all brilliant 45's sold Symphonic Four earlier this year, and now of course I'm regretting it.. Gran Mezcla !
  10. change of pace, here are some pics from Weymouth, Dorset...
  11. I know, I have these outbursts you see!! League of Gentlemen is utterly brilliant, I've been binge watching all again this week, this character's fetish with Toads is hilarious; but I concede this amphibian could end up on a French dinner table...
  12. “Maybe if you spent a little less time cavorting with Madam Palm and her five daughters, you’d be a little more alert, that sir is a toad"! sorry Russ, I simply could not resist.. been watching LOG all week... the piccie took me straight there! laughing great pictures mate
  13. Found a piccie of the beach at Caldey Island Steve... I'd love to stay a night over there, there is a beach house set just back off the main beach, anybody know whether you can rent out on the island? I did find their website, https://caldeyislandwales.com/ and you can submit a prayer request to the monks... I'm not religious but that's kinda cool...

  15. fair comment, I absolutely love 'Cornell Gunter - Love In My Heart' but that is another 7ts track that seems to get an awful lot of, "Nah, not my thang". Horses, Courses, and Mucho Deep Pockets need only apply! I nabbed the above scan for my i-Tunes, and noticed the lesser quality one I had was shot via the same camera lens, same lighting, so must then be the same dealer who sold that earlier copy...?
  16. Joseph Webster is ok, ultra rare, but its not really that uplifting is it... I don't get goosebumps on this one at all... wait there, I might have said this last week about another expensive 45... but $13k would but purchase an awful lot of really brilliant records!
  17. cheers mate, hope you like it
  18. yep I recognize that splash, maybe bigger? Deffo needed a bigger boat! lol
  19. Think this acetate was sold on here by Mark Windle, I missed it at the time which has always been a nag as I absolutely love this 45, it is absolutely brilliant... opps sorry guys, this isn't the track that's been asked about, but its nice to look at right?
  20. Great trip to Trinity Waters Fishery in Bridgewater over the wkd, caught one, lost two... hard water especially in the heat... you can see em, but like us they were just kicking back! lol but the fishery is brilliant, and 30 quid for effectively 3 days fishing is really cost effective...
  21. best beach in the UK on Caldy, had some great days lounging around in the sand dunes looking back at Tenby.. and you get a two way boat ride in with the day!
  22. Hi folks, this weeks mix show is dedicated to the late & very GREAT Dean Parrish, three of his greatest songs are here. So this one is a bit late due to a 3 day fishing trip, I caught a sunburn! So a tale of two sets of music really, I got very excited with the opening modern shuffling stuff, then half way through I really hit my sixties stride! Naomi Harris starts the charge, followed by the brilliant Kittens & Jimmy Jones. Check the guitar work on Barbara & the Browns 'So Cruel'. Narvel Felts might seem like a made up name, but boy is it a great song! Mary Saxton is sheer class this track just smoulders! and what is it about Garrett Saunders plonking ditty? it's addictive that song, I just love it! The Mark IV's is a massive favorite, we have Roy Hamilton's stirring 'My Peaceful Forest' & finishing as it's always done, Dean Parrish's 'I'm on My Way'. There are few Artists in the Northern Soul Scene that are liked as much as Dean and his Music, he will be missed. RIP Dean Parrish Hope you enjoy the Music Mascara - See you in LA (Ft Luther Vandross) Jackie Wilson - It's All Over Sunny Ozuna - Runaway Smoke - So Glad you Came Along The Dramatics - No Rebate on Love Betty Everett - Unlucky Girl Billy Jones - I'll Keep Holding On Peoples Pleasure with Alive and Well - Dreaming Our Lives Away Sky High - Smoothie Pie The Relatives - Evil World Portrait - Love You From Now On Fruit - Say It (Demo) Cix Bits Band - I Can't turn Myself Around Dean Parrish - Determination Dean Parrish - Bricks, Broken Bottles And Sticks Naomi Harris - Come On Baby And Hurt Me The Kittens - How Long Jimmy Jones - I Depend On You Barbara & The Browns - So Cruel Narvel Felts - Girl Come Back Mary Saxton - Is It Better To Live Or To Die Garrett Saunders - I Keep Comin' Back For More Gino Parks - Taking Candy From A Baby Bobby Darin - Not For Me Freddie Gorman - The Day Will Come Mark Ⅳ's Feat Sam Fain - The Tide Has Turned The Drifters - I've Got Sand In My Shoes Roy Hamilton - My Peaceful Forest Dean Parrish - I'm On My Way Outro Malc
  23. I haven't watched all of this, but it would great to find out more about 'Val Simpson - It's Just Love' which I believe never came out? Think Val is really speaking about the big hits in this interview.
  24. Hi folks, this week show steps away from the 'House Nation' series, and is back with some serious soul sides! My favorite in this mix has to be The Combinations 'Come Back', a quality group 45 on the Chicago 'Kellmac' Label, its a killer song... Other favorites are the Incredibles - Crying Heart, there are a few cuts of this song, the one to get is the green label variant with vocals to the fore, this song was also sung by lead singer Cal Wayman as a solo effort also on Audio Arts label, that's a great record.... The Manhattens - I can't stand for you to leave me & The Bitter & the Sweet ' I wont Have any Babies for You' are both classics. Check out Roy Ayers 'Sweet Tears' a great mellow jazz track which mixes perfectly with The Two Of Us 'Looking Glass'. other standouts Roosevelt Matthews (Billy Ball & The Upsetters) 'You Got Me Diggin' You' has always been in big demand, I do love my Yellow King demo of this track with a Passion!! Hope you enjoy it ** Track Listing ** Isaac Hayes - Ike's Rap 2 Larry Banks - We Got A Problem Bull & The Matadors - Where Did The Judge Go The Intrigues - Fly Now Pay Later DeRobert & The Half-Truths - We Won Bongalis - Undercover Manzel - Space Funk Phillip Wright - Keep Her Happy The Fantastic Four - Loving You (Is Hurting Me) Lee Fields & The Expressions - The One Who's Hurting Is You The Incredibles - Crying Heart The Manhattens - I can't stand for you to leave me The Bitter & the Sweet - I wont Have any Babies for You Wildflower - You Knock Me Out Margie Joseph - I Can't Move No Mountains Doc & Sal - Cry & Wonder Why Roosevelt Matthews (Billy Ball & The Upsetters) - You Got Me Diggin' You Roy Ayers - Sweet tears The Two Of Us - Looking Glass Rivage - All My Love for You Portrait - Love You From Now On Cory - Take it or Leave It Barbara Mason - Do I love You The Manhattans - I'm The One Love Forgot The Combinations - Come Back The Endeavors - Shattered Dreams Melvin Brown & James Matthews - Love Stormy Weather

  25. John Waddington is (45 Heaven), think he might be on here as well? he has had some great 45s over the years, Ive had loads of bargains off him, but he does over price some things; some his current listing's do seem to be chancing it somewhat..
