  1. ok, I now see 38 version drop down, it seems Discogs is a better font of knowledge than me... still pretty rare on Australian, Ive not seen on in the 20 years Ive been collecting aussie releases...
  2. Just got a copy of this on Australian MGM, which is very nice... Having looked at Discogs, a very worthy forum but not the font of all knowledge on soul music, this is showing the US and Turkey (Sahibinin Sesi label) as the only other territory this got a release on its first release, 1968. That can’t be right surely? >>HERE<< Mal
  3. Hi Folks, does anybody have nice Aussie copies of any of the following at all? must be in EX plus condition and no tears or nasty stuff on the label, if they are ex Radio Station, thats fine, always happy to get orig copies with notes and stamps... 4. I’ve got a few like that, it’s a proper record label so I guess they would have put promo / DJ on the label. I’ve never seen a proper demo of this track… great record.
  5. is it the same normal Red/Black/White type label on the 'pg' side? I dont know btw, just interested to see a scan of it...
  6. thats a point on the Tears, Ive loved that track for as long as I can remember, but its never dawned on me as to who they were. Here in the UK The Tears was one Mick Smith always championed, certinally in the early 9ts. Sure it was known before then, but Mick is the guy I got my copy from.
  7. saw a couple on evilbay today if you cant get anthing off here...
  8. wow, thats a spot isn't it... what a wonderful beach, although it looks like it might be a tad 'tart' under your bum...

  10. Really sad news. Sean knew so many people, I can’t speak as one that knew him really really well, but in the 9ts I knew him up the 100 club, he was frightening and lovely in equal measure. I used to rep a photo agency and we cleared that immortal shot of him doing splits on the dance floor for wall art in tower records, so I approached him one night at the 100 club to get a model release, he was pissed, I was totally gone, but the promise of 1000 pounds was too much to not say no to, and he visited our offices in the week, signed the form and we wrote him a cheque, on the way out he said I thought you were full of shit! But obviously not. lol I will say thought he never bought me a drink for the easiest grand he ever earned! But he deserved it, he was a face, in the proper way. Rest in peace Sean
  11. Kickin back at Acorn fisheries in North Somerset, gonna be warm tonight :/)
  12. Sold my copy some years agao, the size was great, but I just don't have a coffee table in my front room big enough for it, some one should re-publish it in a regular size. Great idea
  13. Hi folks, Nice record here. The Other Brothers have been spoken about a bit this year I notice, their Modern relese 'It's Been A Long Time Baby' has had a bit of interest again. This is another of theirs on Amy from 1968, its a great 45... scan is of my copy for sale, clip is just nipped off You tube. The Other Brothers - Little Girl / Amy Demo EX++ £25 **NOW SOLD** Payment: Prefer Bank transfer, but can Pay Pal (F&F) if thats your only option. Post: £4.50 1st Class signed for within the UK. 14. Took a walk up what’s known locally as the 'The Scenic Drive' , quite a view looking back into the valley. Look behind you from this point and you can see the whole of the Seven Estuary, Seven Bridge and way off Avonmouth and Weston Super-Mare.
  15. Brilliant Photographer, and a lovely lovely guy. Remember some girls who went to Shoom saying they could see Danny Rampling's Aura as he dj'd.. lol
  16. Hi folks, just got a copy of this from Rod S on here, hope you approve of the 'S' Rod... Anyhow its an inst, and Ronnie's in the writing credits so fair to say this was his song originally, but given the plethera of other versions, especially in the early house years, Side Effect did it, Incognito (Jocelyn Brown), and I think also Stevie wonder did a version. It was a massive play everywhere wasnt it, who put the lyrics to this song, Side effect? Mal

  19. Hi folks, pack of 7ts and a few early 8ts soul 45's, all good ones, mainly US, some Uk, lots of different styles. Total of 39 45's all EX + and above, mostly EX++ see scans. Too many to write out, quicker for you to see the scans below, all the tracks on there... to make it worth your while, I'll chuck in six Ric Tic 45s as well... Cheers Mal
  20. SSTK are offering this as a fee to download vector >>HERE<< deffo tagged Northern soul. They are tasked with making the most of their assets, so to tag something that's near visually, yeah what the hell, they would do that. I'll ping some old colleagues there, make them aware of the uproar!
  21. Interesting views, which mirror alot of what Ive been doing for the past few years. I don't know who is paying these prices for theses expensive but common soul 45s, but I would say, like houses, never buy at the top of the market, you will always lose your money.
  22. Some Aussie ones for you...
  23. I wonder if somebody can id this RCA sleeve? polythene red sleeve, no mention of the country..
  24. Also, as I cannot add a seperate listing, I have this Lp for sale: Joyce Bond - Soul of Change / Windmill (Uk) (SOL) EX++ Sleeve and Play £20 Buyer pays post, pm me to confirm. Nice Lp with loads of very good cover versions, I like her version of 'Make me Yours' as a nice edition to ZZ Hill. Don't know if the Airborne single came out before or after this lot, but there are some good songs on here. Acuually the 45 was 1966, this LP is dated 72, but the songs have to be earlier I'd say.
