Sounds great, Carmy Love has a wonderful voice, she really is a great singer, she kind of reminds me of Sharon Jones. But I have to say, they need to do better than this, I guessed where this track was going in the opening 20 seconds, and although there are one, two very nice changes in there, I wasnt suprised by the time I got to the end of the song, it sounds like a polished work out to my ears. It's the song writing that’s letting them down, and the tempo is just to predictable. That’s an honest appraisal, I like the track, but I would not spend money to get it on 45...

You have great taste sir! easy record to pick up, should not take long to get one... In terms of not going so good, we should state their tracks got released in multiple territories, so they were not without sucess, they are not house hold names like Curtis Mayfield maybe, but to their audience in the early seventies they were big, they appeared on Soul Train, and although I dont know how many records they sold, I'm sure their sales were not shabby... To prove a point, here they are looking brilliant down under...

Betty Harris - What I'do Wrong / Mean Man / SAMSU WD EX+ £40 What I'd do Wrong, is my favourite Betty Harris song, aching soul 45, You can feel the hurt here in abondance! Billy McGregor - It's My Turn Now / MELL o TONE EX++ £60 This 45 is Perfection, and he's made some mighty fabulous sides, which this is the very best. Gold first issue. King Solomans Advisors - Back of my Mind / EX++ £20 This is one of those cheaper end 45s that could go massive, its that good a sweet soul 45. Charmells - Sea Shell / VOLT EX++ £20 Produced by Hayes Porter, this could never have been anything but brilliant! Virgil Griffin and Rhythm Kings - A Forgotten Lover / Reginald Records EX++ £20 Possibly the saddest record I every bought, this guy really is at the depths of despair. Late night track for me, there isn’t much coming back from this tune..I wouldn’t want to go to bed after this one.. lol sax break to die for as well... Joe Valentine - I Cant Stand to See You Go / One Night of Satisfaction / RONN WD EX++ £20 One Night Stand is a very good midtempo track, but 'Cant Stand to See You Go' is in another ball park. Deep and Sweet Linda Jones - Not On The Outside / TURBO EX++ £10 If for some reason you DON'T have this 45, you need this! George Kerr, Sylvia Robertson and the Stunning Linda Jones, for a tenner! Wilma Scott - It's A Mean Old World / VERDY Records EX++ £225 ~ Reduced to £200 Another stunner, these were on Ebay years ago via one dealer, all gone now I believe, this is a lovely clean copy, label and play, most are not good condition. Gloria & The Relations - Hook, Line And Sinker EX++ (label stain) £225 ~ Reduced to £200 ** SOLD ** Lucky find in Paramatta, Sydney for me this one, stunning deep soul record with Funk flip. I believe this is wanted big time on the LR scene. Winfield Parker - Brand New Start / Arctic Records VG+ £45 reduced £35 Had a hard life this 45, but the track is an a stunning song, his best imo. Plays with crackle, but to be honest it doesn't detract at all.
