There was a Arnold McCuller for sale on here some years back, was a few hundred quid I think, cheap really. Obviously I missed it.. I'd love a Gavin Christopher 7", if anybody has one?
-
Sounds great, I have to admit I've always found 'Girl I've Been Trying To Tell You' just a tad too sweet for my ears, but I like the other tracks on this Lp... 'Yeah Yeah Yeah' sounds like a crap title, but it’s a great song... I see 'Have You Ever' which is class.....as listed for this LP, but it seems to not be on certain label releases?? Graham International, Tsg records and a P-Vine reissue... is this a gospel Lp? * The Enchanted Five – Have You Ever (That's What It Means), its a comp with the same title, not the Ultimates as Ive said above
-
Can't see Glora Scott above, so that one. Here is a big list of Lp's I pulled out that I don't think have been mentioned, sorry if they have already... Soul Inc - Live at the Cellar / Ember Different version than the Ember 45 on What Goes Up Must Come Down, same as Yellow Emblem 45, the studio version is on the other Emblem design.. Phil Spector Lp - inc Darlene Love - 'A Long Way to be Happy' Pic & Bill - Soul of a Man / Belter (LP Only 'Baby Come Back') Harvey Avenue Band - Viva Soul / atlantic All of Bobby Blands LP's inc the Action one 'Piece of Gold' JJ barnes - Born Again / Perception (lots of LP only tracks) Hesitations - Born fee / Kapp (Includes LP only 'Don't Go') Jimmy Witherspoon - Spoon in London / Prestige (Inc Lover set me free, and LP only Man Dont Cry) Garland green - Love is what we came here for (Inc 'Quit Running the Streets' Lp only again? ) RCA George Scott - Find someone tyo Love / All Platinum / very very rare on origional Starfire - Get Off with This / Dynamic Artists Ronni McNeir - 'Ronni McNeir ' RCA Super Super hard on 1st Issue Al Johnson - Back for More / CBS (Back for more also done by Leo Sunship and Marlena Shaw) but has other great tracks on there, quality Lp... Band of Thieves - 'Band of Thieves' / Ovation includes 'My Story' also Sweet Lady, In the City, I'm in Love, I Need You, City Slickers, Call Me,A New Day, BLOODY Good LP! West Wing - 'West Wing' 20th Century / LP only ' I'm Gonna love You Just a little Bit More Baby' plus loads more Gene & Jerry - One on One / Mercury (Inc 'Be Yourself' LP only again) Carol Anderson - Aint Giving Up / Coup (Inc LP Only 'I Found love' & Sad Girl) Odyssey - 'Odyssey' / MoEst (Inc LP Only tracks, cant remember which but all brill) Don Thomas - Your The One (all Lp Only) Myrrrr The Round Robin Monopoly / Truth (Inc 'People Do Change' LP only I think??) Arnold McCuller - A part of Me Thats You / AVI inc 'Freeway to Monterey' very hard on 7 inch that one, ex Stafford spin I was told. Leo Sunshipp - We Need Each Other / Lyon's records ALL of EM! Black Nasty - Talking to the people (Inc LP Only I Have no Choice) Gavin Christopher - RSO includes 'We'll Always be together' again I think LP only, but might not be, anybody? Rainbow Brown - 'Rainbow Brown' inc 'It Ain't No Big Thing' dont know is the LP only? Can I add Brian Auger & Julie Tippetts 'Street Noise' and 'Encore' two LP's ten years apart, 69/78 but two of my very favorite LP's... on Encore they do a version of the Animals 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood' which is sublime... !! Yes, that’s the one I have doubts about Mick. With the Dynamics and Dean Parish boots and second presses and God knows what else, it's a label that just seems to be deemed authentic if you have a demo... pretty much. I guess George Smith is too rare to be thrown in with those titles, and Chiffons is pretty common and never booted to my knowledge... So jury is still out on this one, but I agree every time I play it, and Play it loads, just not convinced...

is it that easy? something tells me its not quite as clear cut...

maybe Clara Wilson's version might impress you, obviously a cover verion, but worthy. Maybe suggest Clara Wood - Your After my Guy, as near enough? Patti & Mickey - My Guy, My Girl on Impact does the impossible by mixing two Motown tracks (Temps and Mary Wilson) in one really good record.. I actually really like this track...a Harry Balk production, so Motown connections there, but I think before he joined the company?
-
Just reading the comments on John Manships auction site around the stock copy on Hoagy Lands / Laurie, anybody tell me how to spot it, and whats a later press ot boot? I dont have any bootleg guides any longer... Best Mal

Max are you going to answer these questions properly? Good news is good news but what I’m not hearing is a reply outlining when I and others here will get our 45? I also contacted you via email via the other month asking for a refund, you have ignored that email, not offered me any thing. whatever problems you claim to have, they don’t carry any water if you don’t carry out your obligations as a shop or seller. you mentioned boxes being sent to the uk before Christmas, well none of us have seen anything, so is that a load of BS? so whats it to be? That man is still a 'Dude'... sharp, an on it.... great article.
