  4. Now sorted, thankns to everybody who got back...
  5. Far too rich for me mate, that is in my opinion, well over the mark on price for this 45... but I appreciate you reaching out Malc
  6. Just bought a Towana and the Total Destruction, I'll pitch it up forthwith and report back!! Is Ty Karim - Natural do - aka Wear your natural baby, the one on Ebony Douglas?
  7. Issue or demo, must be EX++ and above pls. Thankn in advance Malc
  8. Looks like its made £5k over the last two nights, I think it will do £12k easy, might be more... there must be a kerfuffel over at Waltham on the Wolds, where do you find one of these to level the auction platform playing field...!
  9. Just a comment I'm afraid, on the Ronn mix... I took a look, could not find the two, but I did find this very very cool clip...from Wolfman Jack!!!! how good is this!!!
  10. Don't know about newises and all that, I dont care, as long as they are GREAT!! Brilliant group, Bull and the Matadors is favourite of mine. You should check out 'Where Did The Judge Go' which is a great track. As for Thomas East & The Fabulous Playboys, they went on to record some great tracks, which go for big money now, but for my money their two Toddlin' Town recordings win hands down, 'I Get A Groove ‘moves me mate!! tough record, and 'That's Why I Can't Stop Loving You' is utterly sublime, what a vocal, it's got it all... and they will cost you a tenner each!!! If we are staying with this group of labels, how about 'Epics And Larry & The Hippies - My Destination' instant YES here folks!! and 'McKinley Mitchell - My Sweet Baby' Value for money, THIS is what we want!!
  11. Cheers Alan, thatds good to know... I have just seen a comment on You Tube, stating that this has a better mix than the Ronn release, not heard them back to back, but I'll try to do that, does anybody else know about these two mixes>? cheap record, so its not gonna break the bank, but it is oh so good!
  12. TOUSSAINT MCCALL: no one takes the place of you / nothing takes the place of you Hi folks, can anybody confirm, NU Sound press is before the Ronn releases of this fabulous deepie Thankns in advance Malc
  13. There is series of 5 interviews with Eddie on you tube, where he speaks about deciding on the Irish trip as an opener. Well worth watching. I’ll grab a link later on.
  14. The one thing Eddie pillar is especially good at, is story telling! This will be a great read. Love the cover pic as well.
  15. The flip of this 45 is really good, you should check that out.. Ralph Weeks & The Telecasters - Gua Jazz.mp3
  16. I’ll take this one malc
  17. Can I ask, does this Lp have better audable tracks than the Horaces releases, given there has been 30 years since those came out?
  18. Very excited about this album release, ‘We The People Who Are Darker Than Blue’ is a firm favorite in my house... Malc
  19. I was very excited about EVERYTHING / EVERYWHERE, and I enjoyed the film. But it lost me halfway through, somehow, I just didn't care about the ending, but I love Michelle Yeoh, actually I felt much the same way about the last series of Star Trek Discovery, that Michelle Yeoh wasnt in!! I actually wished Star Trek had all perished, it would have been far more entertaining that the crap storyline they did film. And who here thinks they really underused John Carpenter, he should have had a far more prominent role...with some far better lines... That said, and sorry I've clearly gone over to my Trek side, who likes the new Piccard series? I actually think it's very good, but I think I’ve seen that story line before in Discovery?? an entity has taken over star trek headquarters and all that, any thoughts terksters...
  20. Have you? I'd love to go watch her perform live, I hadn't considered that, thanks for the suggestion
  21. Very subjective topic, it's whoever you have grown up with isn’t it...? My first hero's Tony Reynolds (Outrigger, later 'The Ship Ashore'), Pep, Harpo, Max, Ted Massey and the crew at the Old Vic, Martin Red (Martin Redmond) for what he did at the Hummingbird and early shellys, if we travelled for house, it was always the Flying Dj's, Brandon Block, et al, and we always turned up anywhere Justin Robinson played. in the 9ts, it was everything 100 club, so all those guys, Ady, Mick, Butch, and of course Dave Flynn, Shifty, Irish Greg, Alan Hanscombe, all the Capitol soul folks... as I said, very subjective..
  22. Pm'd ya mate
  23. Not Soul, just a very very cool track and video, Ive been transfixed on this all day... Give it the thumbs up!!! Malc
