Old thread, but I'm into this, as a mate sent an MP3 of it. I know it's on White Brothers records (1981), and it's said to be very rare. What can folks say about this? I dont know the label, or Solar plex as a group...? check YT, and the below link, does the released 45 on White Bros, have the radio esq, intro? surely not... You tube info here: Ultra rare modern soul 45 from Hollywood, California. The lyrics are written by Bill Williams. Could this be Bill Williams of Bilelo? Taken from Hans' mix for Sofie on NTS Radio: https://soundcloud.com/anymyl/sos-018

Aussie Motown is TMO, as apposed to TMS (GB), I cant really see those, but have a check. All Australian released 45's will state Austraila on the label, and mostly with NZ, but not always... -

Hi folks, great selection of modern and crossover again, happy to send photos if you want, but all great condition. Charles Johnson - Never Had A Love So Good / ALSTON EX++ (slight dish, NOP) Classic 1980 track, this is a very nice copy, not off centre as lots are, very slightly dished but super clean and plays clear as day... the dish is the other way meaning this doesn't looked dished on the play side, if that makes sense. Great copy, you will not be disapointed. Ray Hines - Why Don’t you give me a Try / Is it Something You Got / RNH EX+ (swapped labels) Brilliant Chicago double sider, WDYGMAT is Crossover heaven, the 'Something you got' side a very credible Tyrone Davis sounding track. Rosie Grier – Beautiful People / A&M Demo (swol) EX++ Another one that seems to me to be getting allot more attention, this is a great demo copy, swol on the Stereo side, mono side clean as Mrs Miggins kitchen floor! Family of Eve - Please be Truthful / Full Sail (Blue Vinyl Copy) EX++ Blue vinyl copy, I think I got this off a band member in the 2000’s…totally mint one. ---- You can PM me on here, text me at 07831 095717, email me at amershamangler@protonmail.com I prefer direct Bank Transfer, but you can pay by PayPal either Friends & Family or add the normal 4% fee. Thankns for explaining all that Robb good to know about the desired background mixing on these, Id have guessed that, but have another question around 'versions'. I have three in my i-Tunes Library, it seems this track has been cut up, digitally I mean many times, its actually hard to say how, what you have said connects to which acetate. I have, 1/ The Originals - Suspicion released on The Motown Sound 7" Box Set : Rare and Unreleased Vinyl, sounds very thin to my ears, not much bass on this recording. Time (3:09). 2/ (version 1 - alternate mix) released on the CD "This Is Northern Soul! The Motown Sound - Volume 2" the pair of CD's that came out in the mid to late 9ts, very BIG at the time, and sounds allot more rounded and bouncy, lots of bass! Time (3:02). 3/ And finally an Alt mix, thats just what Ive called it, which sounds like its been taken from a live taped session, mp3 below for reference...Time (1:56), just slow fades at the end. Sounds like somebody has just dialed everything out bar vocals and some percussion at the mixing desk. Would you take a stab at which is what? if you know what I mean. The Originals - Suspision (Alt take).mp3

While we are on the Originals, can anybody confirm this was / is an original acetate of this track, what kind of acatate it is, says master S/M, and maybe when it was discovered, how it got out so to speak?

I thought Phil Terrell was very cheap really, no sense to these final sale prices is there... On another note, no, not the economy, I cannot deal with that SNAFU! Did anybody see what 'We The People - Ain't No Way' went for on Tim Brown's auction?
