Hi Dave, I spoke to Greg Tormo about that statement that June Jackson was JJ Jackson of Cala fame, Greg spoke to June some years ago and confirmed it was deffinatly not him, pretty easy to work out given the two vocals, no way do they sound the same...so add 2 tracks for June jackson, H.J Jackson on Cross tone plus this release mentioned above... Wonder what else he did? Mal.C.

  6. I assumed Acetate, but there you go, a vinyl test press.. All sorted on that disc now, anybody ever hear of any more discs from that Musette stable? I'm a collecor of Musette hense my efforts to get any additional info.. I know sombody who lives just 10 mins from the latter address on the label, so may get some info from there.. Cheers Guys mal;)

Unknown artist-You Know How Love is / Musette acetate (as listed on Manships rarest of the rare section on his web site) My reconing is this is almost certinally June Jackson, in fact I'd bet money on it, and I dont gamble!! I colllect Musette discs with a passsion, wondered whether anybody can tell me anything about that acetate and if you might, tell me who currently owns it, anybody know? Does anybody know of any other Acetates originating from the Musette stable? Thanks in advance Malcolm

  16. I picked the Danny Corbis 45 last week from Roger Stewart, very pleased cause you get Chico & buddy on the flip which I always thought was far superior to sue Anne Jones / TBC 45... Thought I should buy a load of these but Fashionettes and Primers I'm not that keen on, just need the Jeanette Jones and I'm there... Really looking forward to the October Anniversary now, on my Birthday as well so Liza and me get a night off from the monster!! laughs BCNU All there!!!!!!!!!! Mal.C

  24. Don't think anybody has mentioned his name yet, Mick Smith Nov 100 Club 1999... just played every record I wanted to hear and in virtually the right order.. Also when Ady Crosdell played 'Gettin to me' when Lavine was turning up at the 100 club, actually may have been after he was asked not to come back, anyhow Ady announced it, said "Lavine said he would have put it back and would have never played it, but we do etc..... " and the 100 club went F*** WILD!!! the rest of the set was a blinder, but that one call to arms rallied everybody... Mal

Coming from a record dealer thats been selling soul records for how long? thats unbelievable, but the pics there to look at not to argue over.. have loads more from this session, Paul McCartney visited the Mardis Gras in St Louis, and on the night he hit the clubs, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and Linda McCarteny feature in other frames.. These have probably never been seen since their original use in the mag they were commissioned for. M
