Wow, so a further Ray track in the Blue Cats release, thanks for the listing. I assume 13 through 17 are missing, I mean they did not jump release numbers as they do occasionally on these smaller labels? The "She Doesn't Love Me " has to be the same side? Kinda reminds me of Dereks' Jessie James / Dick & The Deamonds - Falling Stars track on Lawn, I've searched High and Low for both releases but still looking! Now I probably got add the Ray & The Blue Cats... what you guys doing to me??? Mal

I for one would like to hear allot more Funk Records on the Northern scene, you never know it could liberate some of those buggars who cant put one foot in from of another, they could just Pogo on the spot! How about Della Reese-It was a Very Good Year right at the height of a night!!! awesome! Mal.C.

Cry by Teddy Greene is a really great lesser known release on Capitol, also Rubin Wright - Hey Girl for a cheap and very good dancer! Mal:)

One good thing about those Monach done Boots is that a small number of them came out on vinyl... so to have it you'd want the orig and the vinyl boot right? Mal:)

Great Label, some cracking Texas soul sides, But can anybody confirm that 'Ray' who appears in the following releases is the same guy? Vocally their voices do differ from side to side but the amount of 'Rays' here is just too Much, I need to know!! Well I buy all their (Dap Kings) LP's and 45's, as well as allot of tracks lauded over on the Funk scene, I'd love to hear a real mix when out, best of the best you might say..Northern, crossover, Modern, Funk and what ever else..and as time goes on I think thats what you will get at venue's, the northern scene back to what it was so to speak, playing the very best... mal:)
