I collect Aussie released soul tracks, and have loads of cover versions from over there, of which a very small percentage are really any good to be honest, I'm pretty bored of collecting them now...!! This version is a surf record really, its ok but I'd much rather have spanking Jackie day - Before its too late on Blue and white W&G... Stick to the real deal kids!!! Mal.C

Just got my self a copy of Peggy Scott - Things Have More Meaning Now on Old Town, its a white label demo which I've never seen a label design like before..??? it has a Bell sound stamp, which is always good of course....and everything matches up to the picture of the (Moon behind the Manhatten skyline) label design in Kents Old Town & Barry CD, by that I mean time, cat number, publisher ino etc... Everything tells me this is original, but having never seen the Old Town Records Corp written over two lines on this label I cant help asking, is this legit? Anybody else got one like this? Mal.C.

I picked up numerious copies of this in the late 9ts for no more than 20 quid a pop... £75 does sound expensive to me... M

** Tyrone Davis - I'm Running a Loosing race / Sack ** Anybody know whether it has ever been Booted? I would not have thought so but you never know.. Have a copy which I'm just a little suspicious about. On the flip on the right hand side there is a code "CA 7130" with " A Yardbird Production" below, it looks like it has a crease in the paper label, but it does not, kind of like when you photocopy a creased label say... Just think the print on the label looks not quite right..anybody have a copy to compare? allot of these are warped, this is my third and is not dished and mint which is a blessing.. There is a dealer in Sydney knocks the Jamacan releases of this out at $60 aud, about 20 quid... personally I don't like the guy and would never deal with him again, but he's the dood who supplies Manship, when I was there (at his shop) I saw boxes of copies of this track all mint all sleeved and all unplayed... quite a sight!! I picked this up in a Paramatta Record Fair in west sydney 4 years ago, $1 Aud... about 40p over here I suppose.. Great track.. dont think its worth any more than 30-40 quid though. Mal.C.

I was thinking about this track the other day, really like the look of that Soul Beat bootleg from the seventies?? anybody got one?
