  1. Ahh its just a bit of RUFF and TUMBLE!!! Do big skinny heads still turn up to the Runs? Remember one of the biggest nastiest lookin skin head guys greeted us at Margate rally in 86, he looked like robocop... me and a mate drove up to him expecting a barrage of abuse, he opened his mouth and out came Charles Hawrtrey! laughs Great start to a scooter run! M
  2. I Only remember one fight, it was at the Old Vic in the late eighties, some chaps had a big Bust up over a woman!!! Well there you go, what its all about!! Laughs Mal
  3. And one from me. mal.C.
  4. Ok, So a fair amount of Tempest's songs would deffo qualify, Roosevelt and the 7 C's on Rondo sound right? Mal:)
  5. I'm gonna get laughed at here, honestly I'm either reading that word wrong, or I'm just not that with it, what does Mariachi Northern??? mean? Mal:)
  6. Agree, this is the BIZ!!! always been a tough one, as they say. M
  7. Just occurred to me: Patience Valentine - Our love (A Special Blending) MJR Far far better than her SAR material, well I say better its allot later and in a different vein, personally I rate this easy to get 45 above allot of expensive stuff.. Discovered this 45 from Derek P's show... Starts with a spoken intro, moves into a mid tempo groove which has some real Highs on the verse where she sings the title, its kinda like the high you get on the Drifters - Outside world, all of a sudden it just lifts at that point and your into another experience all together, its an early 7ts recording and sound nothing like "Outside World" but you get my meaning... Flip is something about DISCO, crap but wanted by those collectors, they buy anything with the "D" word in....in fact That Carrie Cleveland LP discussed yesterday is in demand for the very same reason. This 45 will cost you $10 Five pounds, and I personally think its the kind of track that could go very big, I recon Ady and the 100 club would dig this allot!! Mal
  8. Wow I like your friend Ernest Grimmer, mango.... Lucky buggar!! M

  13. I mentioned this on this forum some months ago and got a single reply, anyhow, how many cherished records have you spent hours gazing at that say "Taken from the LP etc Etc" Here's some that have got me searching for the Unknown that I never heard anything on... Ernest Baker - Alone Again / Blue Soul World's Funkiest Band - When you're alone / California Gold Any more, more importantly has anybody ever seen the LP's to these releases? Mal>C
  14. Stan Ivory - Come on and Live 7" & 12" Releases Tese / Total Control Just got a 12" on this great track to find the brilliant Jazz / funker "Stan’s Theme" on the other side, a bargin for ten quid.. Anybody know whether the original Tese 7" had the same flip? Only ever heard of 2 maybe 3 copies on Tese so a real rare one I can only imagine owning... also got an Al green on WD RCA for a fiver, somebody had that at £50 on here this week, surly not? Mal.C.
  15. Came across a load of copies of Shorty Long - Dont mess with my weekend, on Aussie Tamla at the Paramatta record Fair 3 years ago, any left em!!! Doh! Got the Buzz, but for some explicable reason thought I'd find something better, and I did. Mal
  16. Was in Roger Stewart's shop last Friday, he mentioned some Soul who had sent him a sales list and read out a widely used term underneath the track listing "Sounds Like a £1000 Tune!" So what does a thousand pound tune sound like then? Mal:)

  22. Laughs...Yep those would have that effect !! Mal:-)
  23. How about Inspirations - Gotta find a New Love? So a version comes out on a Kent CD, then that version gets a "release" or probable Bootleg??? on a Soul Supply White Label 45, while a second version is given to Butch to spin out and eventually gains a Legitimate release on a Benn-X 45, both versions are out of this world in their own right and well worth owning! Bit of everything in there!! mal>C
