I'm Very happy to report that the Yodi CD is now out!!!!! via the Numerogroup: www.numerogroup.com Rob Sevier has just sent me a copy of the CD with features the majority of the released sides, plus a fabulous Booklet with tons of pictures I had never seen before. Some may remember the 3 pager I did for Shades of Soul back in 2005...well I reckon this is now the definitive research done on the label and adds tons to what I had reported on back then..... I absolutely love Alfie Davidson, Brilliant record which takes me straight to 1986, my last school disco's and attending my first scooter rally in Margate where I bought the SOS single and my first Paddy Smith... Great memories..!!! Was never that keen on Greg Perry, find it a bit boring really. Mal.C.

The track somebody has posted up is the inferior version with dodgy organ through out, you want the Promo on 7" for the better version.....I Got mine direct from the guy who bought the stash of 45's direct from Carrie and husband Bill, story goes that she hated the vocal on the promo, hence it never went anywhere.. Picked the LP in the same visit, which is in demand in that city with the Disco collectors for another track... see you have ERNIE JOHNSON & the Soul Blenders up there, just got my copy, fav track this year for me that one...! Fabulous track this, one of my favorites, the flip " Is it Something you Got" is a cover of the Tyrone Davis track of the same name, still a great recording in its own right.. Two for one here! Mal.C.

He's alright, bought loads of him in the past...he can be expensive so just make him a decent offer I suppose.. otherwise beat a path to either Rocky Ricardo's or over the road, Groove merchant both on Haight street, San Francisco, I got mine from there some years ago, he may have more as I think he's the guy who prized copies from the band member mentioned earlier, but don't quote me on that!! I've been sent a Tracking number but USPS say there is no known number, so draw your own conclusins on that, I have been offered a photograph of the reciept, but Alas nothing sent to me yet, I live in hope...

I don't say this lightly but I have to agree.. I've had some emails and an offer to refund which was very welcome, but alas no refund to date... Kevin your on here allot, and from what I can see run a soul club in the states, you seem to be pretty well involved over there, you don't need me to tell you but if you don't manage people orders or do what you say your going to do when selling you run the risk of having comments such as mine and Marc's. We all sometimes get stuff out late, forget to get back etc.. but you have not followed through on your promises.. I sent Kevin $130 dollars for a record I've never had, and have not got a refund I was offered All I can say is : Do not buy from Kevin Jones, resident DJ of the Emerald City Soul Club. and I will do all I can legally to get my money back Mal.C.

Christ I paid £60 for mine back in the mid 9ts.. there are allot of them about, its not mega rare as john manship would have you believe.. mal

Must be the same version, how many could they have done?? if its the one on that groovesville masters CD, the blue one with Edwin starr - has it happened to you yet, then yes the very same version.. I've never owned the revilot single so i cant say for certain, but recordings I had always sound dull to my ears, where as the other above version sounds clear and crisp, even if, as you say, they dont know the words... Never struck me that way I could always buy one of those round table mats with the label scan on, while playing the other version...cheaper again.. Mel.B
