this is me on Eastside Radio in down town Oxford street during my time in OZ.. and the whole team from Eastside radio from 2004/5 period, Samantha aka Miss Goldie, Sticky Rick, the beautiful Miss Alex, and I cant remember the name of the guy in the foreground, but he did the show after ours on ska, Reggie .. a Friday night slot which was formally known as Fire on the Wire... always loved that name, well cool... We did a piece on this at the Mirror about a month ago, shots of him in his record room and all that, the paper turned them down, think it only made the on line edition... I'd post them up but I've gone over to the News Int / The Sun.. He must be skint, that said I expect he got sent everything, lets just hope he did not get Beano's of Croydon to do the valuations.... remember CH4.. Mal.C.

Love the video, some great energy there... something strikes me though, It must be strange closing your eyes to your favorite Northern sound, half pissed, you open them and your surrounded by young Japanese Dudes all with hats, dancing far far better then you ever could.. Obviously what it is to live in another country.. I must say I'd love to go to a Japanese Soul gig!! Not much use in Butch saying lets be having ya!! eh.... what a response for Frank Wilson... Mal.C.

I'm now leaning towards an original press, on JA Soul right.. anybody? would you have a scan so i know what I'm looking at? Thing that frightens me with Jamaican stuff is the quality and Variety of presses, I'm not referring to the crackles and badly pressed labels, that makes em feel right In my opinion, but there seems to be so many re issues, etc etc that I'm not sure whether I'm actually buying an original pressed 45, even when you get what you think is the right label, the quality gives you headaches as to whether is the real deal, its not like Bell sound / sheldon MR stamps that the yanks have.. all advice is gratefully accepted, I'm a neewbie at this.. Mal.C.

Byron Lee - Frankenstein / SOUL I Love this record, its Ska right??? always been around this type of music but never really took that much of an interest that I might gain a taste of my own, if you know what I mean, anyhow this is the DOGS, and I must have one... There is a Dawn penn 45 also, sounds like a chicago soul record minus the backing, very very good.. what else is good by this guy, and anybody got one for sale?? Mal.C.

Think you all might wanna add Tommy Knight-Dont bring back those memories / Unissued Shrine and Bobby Reed to that list of amazing Shrine productions...??? I know they never actually came out in the 6ts, But Shirley Edwards, JD Bryant, Ray pollard, Carios, Prophets cant be mentioned without them, can they? Christ I'd just love to own a Shrine record, I never have... Can somebody get the Gasher another bit of Cake!! he looks like he's about to BURST!!! Mal.C.
