  1. I'd say at a guess, although both have different writing credits etc, they are two versions of the same song...
  2. I thought this might be Lennie, or Reggie.....who knows... regards implements, Listen to both of them, and you tell me... m
  3. very happy, just got this on demo in the post this morning, and notice the writing credits read : (Satin:Smith:Smith) Obviously we all know the various versions out there, Nate Evans, James Phelps, John Edwards, Magnetics, and the brilliant but slightly different titled Implements - Look over your shoulder... so then, Satin is almost certainly Reggie Satin, both from Chicago, I wonder if anybody can confirm that and it looks like his is the first version of this great song?? Mal.C

  13. THE NEW DANCE SHOW DETROIT, MICHIGAN Probably get shot for posting this on a Soul site, but Brilliant footage of a House music TV show, Broadcast in the years between 'being created' and fully getting to these shores, Adonis - No Way back is a killer as always...really gives you a feel to how americans danced, dressed etc etc...before some idiot over here added Day glow... Enjoy Mal.C.

  15. Current Bid: £ 268.00 :ohmy::ohmy::ohmy: cannot believe my eyes, surely not? I know it's John manships auction, and all worldly sense is lost on the final prices, But surely not? Mal.C
  16. I loved this when I first discovered it, But I've really gone off it of late, maybe through over listening.. I do Like the other 45 by this lot on the label, Ray & The Belaires - The Blame is on you, I'm assuming its pretty much the same group as some of the credits match up.. there maybe other 'Ray and.....' releases on the label also.. Mal.C
  17. |How aBOUT THIS ONE, ANYBODY GOT A MINT DEMO OF THIS? m
  18. OK No reply on these what so ever, so a simpler question, does anybody own them, and can they fill in the labels and maybe suggest a price..? Cheers all m
  19. its all good, especially expansions... A mate of mine gave me all of Roy Ayres LP's in Mp3 form about a year ago, every one, all brilliant.. Good little story on him, he played Ronnie Scotts over a decade ago in Birmingham, and in the day time before his show set up in one of the shopping centers with copies of his latest LP, just him, a chair, a table, the Lp's and a Big bouncer type chap, anyhow I'm walking past and notice this guy (Roy) has the LP up against his face and its pulling it down and making a funny face and silly voice to passers by, only when I went up to him did I twig who he was... as Obviously I had a ticket to attend later... Really nice chap, chated for twenty mins, he signed an autograph, said Roy Ayres = Good Vibes, with a big cut-out of his head and shoulders, and I leave with his latest LP... made my day. Mal.C
  20. Think my first all nighter would have been a Twisted Wheel revival nighter with that Tony Clayton bloke, he was the priest right? would have been 87 I guess, quickky followed by the 100 club where I fell asleep with my head in one of the noughts !! Sounds that I remember, Precisions, Chubby Checker, Bobby Hebb, Ersque Reeder, Jerry Fuller..most of the music I knew was from Kent Lp's and from scooter runs; would have been attending the Old Vic in Wolverhampton every month also, so Lady in Green from Ted Massey, and Verdelle Smith and Kelly Garret are stand outs played by Tony Renoylds there and at the Out Rigger in Brum.. Reminds me of the Big SKOL Sign on the Birmingham sky line, by the Rotunda... !! happy memories.. Mal.C.
  21. after the following tracks, drop me a mail if you have em knocking about. Mal.C. Loretha Vanover - I'm here to give it to you / Chas Ann Joanne Vent - Weak Spot / Label Dunno?? Francone Thomas - To Beautiful to be Good/ Label Dunno??
  22. really, £100 for the p-Vine LP? I'd had said £60 - £80 tops... mal.C
  23. where's Blackpol?
  24. Tyrone Davis - Can I Change My Mind (Dakar) VG++ £6 Chicago class. So underated IMO. WOL in black marker pen but can bearly be seen as it's on the black colouring of the label. (Looks far worse on scan actually). Plays loud and clear. Don't think it was underrated mate, spent three weeks on the top of the Billboard R&B Chart while climbing to #5 in the Hot 100. It sold over one million copies, and received gold disc recognition.. is it styrene or Vinyl? Mal.C.
