  3. Brummie Mick from the 100 club, and the chap who used to sell records at the back by the food hatch, he was a cross dresser, with a black wig.... I knew Mick, and bought a couple records from the chap at the back, just wondered... admit ably two pretty crazy cats... M
  4. its a buggar that one, another that's hard to get due to the title is Dee Dee - I haven't got anything better to do, its a pig to remember at the best of Times, especially when you are looking at a copy of 'I'm so glad I'm a Woman' and some of her other tracks.... took me years to actually get a copy simply because I either bought the wrong single, or could not remember the title!!   6. would these be some of the masters that you reported as being thrown in regard to the RCA series of CD's ady, some chap that installed a jakoozie in the location and dumped a host of Masters and sheet music, have I got that right? Mal
  7. is it the Golden Triangle 45 / Lp one that's better, more sparse, No backing, the Sound of Soul 45, with girlie backing is a different recording all together imo, i mean the backing really changes the overall track. mal.C
  8. I love the picture.. I spent my 36th Birthday shopping in Miami some yrs back, and as always I found bugger all, Liza my wife had bags of clothing, more than muggings could carry, so en route back to the hotel we rock up to Starbucks and have a coffee, and low and behold I sit down and on comes Spiral Staircase - I Love you more today than Yesterday..made my day.. and here's the coffee shop on South Miami Avenue..   11. Scandalous!! well at least you have an orig label to pip on your box, unless its an unforgettable B side... I wonder if the great fold down the middle was done due to it been thrown about, I've had some sent that must have already got a fold in the cardboard, inviting the inevitable crack!! Mal.C.

Cant stand : Joey Delorenzo - Wake Up To The Sunshine Girl - Dreadful record, never liked Mind & Matter - I'm Under You're Spell, French Fries - Danse À La Musique, not that I take it seriously, The Cammotions - Motown is very bad, and one track I really cant stand that seems to be recognised as a big sound, The Inmates – This is the day ...   13. at the end of term in music lessons at our school you could bring in records to play, any every one of my mates shared a single Kent LP: Soul class of 66...which i think was pivotal for me, think the Crampon sisters did it... At our schools Youth club disco we only got chubby Checker - at the Discotheque, Tony Clark - Landslide, Muriel day 9 times, but come Sat I would be at the Outrigger in Birmingham, music courtesy of Tony Reynolds.. my golly that opened my eyes.... i'm a yong-un so that all happened from 83/4 I guess..   16. i buy loads of instrumentals, some of the more interesting of recent purchases - Soul Bug / Dynosonics on Dynamics label out of detroit, flip is also a stormer called 'You Got it'. another I like allot is the flip of the variations - shot of Love on POW, called 'Tra La La La La' such a lush inst, surly somebody did vocals to this? I'll pip scans and more when I get home.. Mal.C.
