Sam E Solo - Love is Not a Game / Tears Keep Falling / Imperial (Issue) VG++ £35 Reduced to £20 Two fabulous tracks, I got this for 'Tears" it being a serious M terry/J Ashford song, flips is an older Northern side I think, Really Nice 45, Bit of dirt picked up on the label ridge which can bee seen in the green, but otherwise really nice clean playing 45 in styrene.. The Classmen - Doin Me Right / Classic M- £50 Reduced to £30 Smooth tune, great vocal, Came out on two labels, and I once saw a release which was a mix of both, (Pearce/Classic) my guess its all the same label / set up.. Quality record in the Mellow fellows mold.. Barbara Mason - Is it Me / ARCTIC One Sided DJ copy M- £15 Reduced to £10 Good track from Barbara, and nice Little demo.. Brook Benton - Where Does a Man go to Cry / RCA Blk Issue M- £15 Reduced to £10 Spanking RCA Blk Issue, Great Beat Ballad from an unlikely source for the northern scene really, But its a great song.. The Persians - Keep On Moving / Capitol Demo M- £5 Reduced to £4 Nice early track from this group, well it sounds early to me, I think Capitol got earlier songs when they signed to Capitol, as wel as releasing various 7ts Tracks.. The Poets - Stuck on you / Red Bird Demo M- £20 ** SOLD ** this is nice, came out on Red Bird under a different name as well, Ive never worked out why, out how, but this is a great Group track, really catchy. George Blackwell - Mr Loser / Smoke VG++ (Mr Loser side is perfect, flip has WOL) £65 ** SOLD ** More Classic Northern, Great track and voice, but then you know that. ** SOLD ** Carol Fran - You cant Stop Me / Port VG++ £20 Reduced to £15 Proper Northern Oldie, i love it, my favorite of her tracks on this label... Ruben Wright - Hey Girl / Capitol VG+++ £10 Reduced to £8 Another Great Northern track, His best on capitol I think... Paul Sindbad - Since I Met you / I'm Uptight / HYPE VG+ £15 (Plays fine) Be Honest, i always wondered what 'Dropped your candy' was all about, just hype record, no finesse what so ever, this is the track by Paul IMO. ------- Buyer pays Postage: £2.50 1st Class Signed for (within the UK) covers you up to £50 £8.00 for Fully Insured up to £500 (Within the UK, signed for) Payment direct into my Bank Account, or Pay Pal: arkanoid300@hotmail.com Please note, I'd ask buyers to cover any pay pal or associated fees. GRADINGS M- As good as it gets, practically an untouched record that plays as if it were brand new store stock VG++The odd barely discernible surface mark or minor blemish, nothing that will affect play in any way. VG+ A few more marks or light scuffs than a VG++ record but still sounds fine for listening and/or DJing. No scratches.Light surface wear. A used but far from abused copy. VG Scuffs and light scratches throughout, most can't be felt. Expect some surface wear throughout the record with light surface noise and possibly a few pops in places. Should still serve as a suitable player copy for listening & DJing. VG- The record may have some scratches that will be deep enough to feel. Audible clicks and pops are likely consistent throughout the grooves.Expect noticeable noise throughout, NO SKIPS though.

  4. it was a great show, fabulous music... I heard the 'chair' sinking, as it were, it was very funny.... its good radio when stuff like that happens.. I certainly will tune in again. By the way, Ive probably 40 or so shows from east side recorded if your interested, most on cassette tape, but i digitized quite a few of them.. some good early ones with all three of 'The Sisters'...from 2003/4, I wasn't around when you were four strong.. 'Fire on the Wire' always love that name... M

  8. Had allot of interest in the above 45's this morning, I'm speaking to 7 people regarding them, But as yet not one person has paid me and there are tracks several people multiple want, can I respectfully ask, if you have asked me for something, and Ive replied its yours and given my payment details, pls make payment as soon as you can, or inform me when you will, otherwise I'm going to miss out on sales, and I'm telling folk stuff not available when it might well be. I'm fair on first come first serve, but if you promise and dont pay within a reasonable time, I'll simply sell the 45's on to somebody else, and I think thats totally fair. Kind Regards, malcolm

  15. Love his recordings, think that Maurice Williams version of the song just pips Diamond Joe's... there were some great Charley LP's from the 8ts on the label, had a host of Diamond Joe tracks, all good, bit of info on there, but as LP comps they did tend to be short.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEZ0G4ion80 try this also, as they 'Charley" did a one off, of all the LP tracks I think https://www.burningshed.com/store/charly/product/418/3062/ Mal.C

  22. Just came across this site, old now the trip was in 2009, but there is some great pictures in here, and interesting facts, states the Dau release of Barbara Acklin is very likely a bootleg. wonder if Roger Blythe can cast any light on that, as he's quoted Dave Flynn's site on local / national releases.. https://www.classicurbanharmony.net/chicago_soultrip_usa.htm Just a nice read.. Mal.C
