Right, votes are tailing off now on this one, Gonna leave it open until tomorrow night (Wednesday), and publish the winner... which is as I type a neck and neck race between Tony Clarke and Del Larks...
-
I can't help you with reading suggestions I'm afraid, but this is a very interesting subject, and the open Letter from Motown, I'd never seen that before, and of course they were a major player, so thats a normal industry level realease. Published here and there I assume? you dont mention the source? Had to chuckle, I'm sure most of you who read this did as well, so we sent the Hollies, Searchers, Gerry & the Pacemakers, Dave Clark Five the other way... yep, you can have them...

That’s an interesting version, love Omar, he really pushes the envelope with the projects he gets involved with and songs he sings… on Golden brown, there was a mash up that came out a few years back. WS golden brown mashed with Take Five, which was really really good one

Nope, they got to be exciting as Mello Souls, but only worth a fraction... I think 'Mercy Men - You Made it Thunder' is a credable one here, not as fast and manic as Mello Souls, not many are, but it's got that edge! and thankns @Dave Pinch I knew it was expensive when it first turned up, don't remember who's discovery that one was.
-
Mercy Men - You Made it Thunder? Maynot be £20 now, but it was about that price for ages and ages...

Nope, I don’t dislike it, but I'm happy to say I prefer 'The Soul Set - Will You Ever Learn' a million times over Mello Souls...

Has somebody mentioned Diane Lewis - I Thank You Kindly / Wand? or would that come under Detroit producers, or Detroit productions and recordings of Detroit artists that are leased to other labels? Produced by Herman Griffin, Says H&A Productions so I guess so...?
-
Good stuff Benji, something for everyone in this one. Some very old, oldies! at the start, I don't always admit it, but after hating it throughout my teens, I actually like Muriel Day, a bit...
