Hi all, nice original acetate and selection of 45's for sale, some reductions there on allot of these... Joe King - Speak On Up / Whats wrong — Original Promo Acetate - £200 Reduced to £160 This is an original promotional acetate sourced form the Prix label owner Clem Price, and is both the released sides from the Prix label 45. The label address is Harmonic Sound Production 1482 Felix Drive which is a different address to what appears on the released Prix 45. Harmonic Sound Productions was the in house production company, the song was produced by the label owner and written by the artist who was a staff musician. So it is a publishing promo as the address being different to the label address. I'm reliably told the guy this came from had all the tapes and master record plates for the Prix catalog. This is a typical 7"acetate with a metal base and shellack coating. Clean typed labels and the record plays great with only a couple light visible scuffs, scans below... ---------- Three Jades - Show me the way / Maurci VG++ £45 reduced to £35 (Very collectable tune on a collectable Chicago Label) Impressions - Minstrel & Queen / ABC Paramount Ex £25 reduced to £20 dont see this one much, classic Impressions, nice issue.. I suppose you see allot of comps made for various scenes dont you, remember ZYX records in Germany re issued all sorts of soul/funk/groove stuff for the House scene, and wider sales if they could get them.. but these are quite perplexing, only label I know thats near these would be the Rare Grooves For The Dance Floor series, dunno... I'd love to hear them though.. M

never seen those before, they look very interesting Paul, can you see the country of origin? M

-
some chap had some stardust 45's on here the other day Pete, and someone else a couple weeks backs, M
-
cant believe how much this goes for, got mine for £20 in the mid nineties from Brighton record fair, cant believe it goes for 300 plus these days m
-
I'd have said £75-£125, depending on condition, white Demo's being the rarest, yellow demo's, dont know if its the same song both sides as with allot of King yellows, Issues you rarely see in good condition... Mal

Poll: Bbc Culture Show - Northern Soul - Your Take ?
Mal C replied to Mike's topic in All About the SOUL
Really enjoyed the show, thought Paul did a great job, he was clearly moved by the experience and that came through, but it's a shame the 9ts London scene wasn't mentioned, or the Kent Generation, were still about you know.... As for the Richard Serling interview, is there anywhere we can see that in its entirety? Mal.c
