  1. Just how good is this for a tenner... Joe Valentine - I can't stand to see you go - £10
  2. dont take anything I say seriously mate.. by the way I got a re issue of the LP couple weeks back from a strange source, a Hi Fi shop in Aylesbury, if you know Aylesbury you will know is a baron desert for good music of any sort... Great track, just dont mention the Multi Coloured German!! Mal.C
  3. See I did say, if you mention this track, we spend the next three days discussing which ones the best mix, for the future I'm going to state it in my signature, save us all precious brain cells wondering why we all bought the wrong record! M
  4. Oh no, the which version debate on the chambers Bros... dont get the USA Columbia single, think the version you need is LP USA and other, and Spanish or German 7inch release, something like that, but USA 7 inch release does not have the live effect on it, just does not have the 'hit' of the version you want.. I think thats right.. malcolm
  5. Love the Kelly Bros, i expect it must have been played before, but Mick Smith was playing it early doors at the 100 club in the mid to late 9ts... remember buying mine from across the tracks in Brighton, a happy day that, brilliant record... Sits right next to Little Charles and the Sidewinders - Talkin About You Babe, dont you think? Mal.C
  6. BOBBY MOORE - CALL ME YOUR EVERYTHING MAN - PYE UK DEMO - 20 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuvGa3iOZYc is the above this song? or a sixties version Keith? Mal
  7. think above folk have said it, very Nice, Love chuck, but you simply cant beat Tyrone Davis... Ohh, wait there not heard Don Bryant before.... thats done it Dave, Urrrrrrrr.... I'm getting me head turned here... how can I not say Tyrone is the best, Its SOUL BLASTPHEMY!! M
  8. Dave Porter - I Can’t See You When I Want To / Stax Great track and a big favorite mine, I want a copy, so from what I can see it came out on Enterprise (Stax) in the USA, and as the flip of Stax S-163 (Blue) and later as Stax 155 (That yellow series), dated 1970 that one. Is there any difference in any of these releases music wise? the blue one looks like its worth a couple bob, I'm not interested in paying silly money for a variant colour or anything, as long as its the original, UK or USA, issue or Demo, I'm happy.. anybody know? Malcolm
  9. Spent two years at Mirrorpix, left in 2009 these images are new, my guess they have come in from the regionals within the group, happy to put people on touch with the archive if anybody wants? Malcolm

  12. God all Mighty...!!! do you know what I'd take $400 of that total and go off and buy loads of so called "Unknown" 45's, just as good musically, and pay my mortgage this month with the rest... Mike (Mod), if you can knock out Ebay by offering a service near to what Chalky was mentioning in another thread, you got my support...! Malcolm

  16. Love that Paul Walters 45, when I got it quite a few years back I went off searching for as many on the 521 Label as I could find, found ten or so 45's, nothing else in the Paul Walters mold, they were all R&B records, maybe a novelty 45 thrown in, I've got some scans somewhere, I'll find and post up... Mal.C
  17. I like the start, but when it starts sounding like something from the Battle of Britain, I'm out... Might have been a tad harsh on Marva jones...

  20. thats it, I'd forgotten Joanne Touchstone — Walk softly, not surprising as her singing on this track is Truly awful, she sounds drunk to me... Actually the backing track I really like.. while were at it, dunno about this one, Gwen Douglas - The Picture, there is something about it, but parts of it make we want to jump out the nearest window, thats bad isn't it.. Malcolm
  21. your on your own dude.... Not easy this, as you have to extract records you may not like that much, that actually are quite good, from ones which are musically BAD, and of course I hate them, so here goes.... deffo Joey Delorenzo, dreadful record, some others that are very expensive but crap: Jerry Walker — Mr Limp, LIMP in deed...... Ted Wilson both sides, utter crap... mans out of tune...!! Scott English - You made a man of Me, dreadful vocal..Guys a Pub singer, Righteous Brothers Band - Rat Race, WHY??? The Cammotions - Motown, really bad record. dont care what anybody says... Romeo Rand - I'm Coming In, why anybody would pay the money this normally goes for is beyond me...worst record on the label.. Marva Jones - I Got Your Number (634 7589), is a truly awful track..that The Four Vandals aint much better.. Angelenos - (Down In) East L.A - nah... The Magicians - (Just A Little) Faith And Understanding, this vocal is really bad.. Inst is I'm sure you will agree brilliant... Zu Zu Blues band - Zu Zu Man, Crap... beyond me.. much like Wombat - I'm Gettin' On Life, contrived, and dreadful drums...and folk pay good money for both discs.. Tom Storm & The Peps - That's The Way Love Is, just so depressing, really depressing record.. Tobbie Bowe - I can feel him slipping away - God awful vocal, and people pay two/three times more for this that Mamie Lee??? I'm sure there are more.... Malcolm
