  18. Long gone are the days when You would get anything descent from Oxfam etc, well you do occasionally dont you, but its very rare. I was in Thame this afternoon and got all overcome with excitement to see they had a pretty big singles section!! Normally they have guys, or oldies dealers turn up on a Fri afternoon to take anything collectable away and sell on behalf of the group, but I must have got there before him, so copies of Sam Williams, Nabay on Grapevine, a PYE 12" release with Chuck Wood / Casuleers / Nosmo king etc on it, some Gene Chandler 12's, and a good one by Willie Hutch...and one or two London American things... I know its not the height of collecting, but it's always fun at £1.50 a go... I was a tad shocked when the guy on the till showed me the total though... Collecting is still fun...  Mal.C

  21. I posted a thread on this label some years ago, where I listed every 'Generally' known 45 that came out. While speaking to a chap on the West Coast it was mentioned back then that there were in existence green label Musette 45's, I'd never seen it, and Ive been looking for some years believe me, anyhow yesterday up pops a Yellow or possibly 'Green' copy of one of Lenni Groves three releases (65-10), told this is a demo copy, but I dont see why, label blurb is identical no DJ or Promo on there what so ever.. but hey what I do I know.. So here you are folks, doubt many have ever seen this one.. also the common orange label release in there. Mal.C

  24. is that right... still great track.. Ive really discovered their material late in life, i always had one or two LP's / 45's but when you start diggin, they simply didn't make anything under parr, and the energy they put into their songs is awesome...
  25. Add 'No Rebate on Love' and 'Don't make me no Promises' to that list... Both killer tracks.... Mal
