  1. He certainly has, thing with Phil Collins, I think he was pretty hip kid in the sixties, and his favorite band according to a TV programme I saw was 'The Action', who did my favorite version of 'Since I Lost my baby' sorry Temps... as for Englebert..... words fail me.... M
  2. Be honest I dont buy from over seas sellers any more unless I really want it, Aussie stuff seems to come straight through no problem so I always pick stuff up via eBay and other.. It seems to be the USA packets that get all the attention. Mix that with exchange rate charges, and any other associated it simply isn't worth dealing with allot of folks over seas.. which is a damn shame.
  3. thats interesting, well royal mail charge £8, something like £4 profit for them, rest goes to the government of course, so its a good business for Ebay to get into, they have a min charge rate which the Royal mail have proven, the skies the limit... even if they pay onto a carrier £2 say, thats £2 to them (Ebay) for every package.. Malcolm
  4. ahh you gotta be joking, if it falls through pal, I'll bite your arm off for this.. malcolm
  5. I've never seen one, but my 'I Haven't got Anything Better to do' is vinyl.. You might like this John.. also got a very nice Aussie demo 'Funny How We Change Places' pretty rare 45 on Australian.. this could turn into a Dee Dee Warwick fest!! Malcolm
  6. Just play it mate, dont listen to what others say, just do what you do... see if I can find hat beige release for you, there are a few about...
  7. It did get a release on a beige label some years back, whether thats legit I dont know, mines on a carver with another Detroit goodie on the flip..
  8. is that an old cover up, might it be 'E. Williams - Trade my Soul to the Devil' ?
  9. thank you sir...
  10. not too many Satin's then... lol
  11. I like Poloma Faith allot, shes a great singer.. and this is nice track, but it is what it is, Its a pop record.... Malcolm
  12. Seen some very silly prices last two weeks, some from sellers who normally put up to 75% on allot of their sales, I've wanted to say something but its bad form, ultimately I just email them with an offer of what i think its worth if its something I'm after, I dont get many replies from some... folk want to sell, and they will haggle to get a sale, as I do when i sell my 45's... as for not putting conditions on the sales thread, beyond me, but I'm not going to jump through hoops, because I'm the customer, so these boys will simply loose out.. Malcolm
  13. Ive put some of these up before, But W&G has such mystique for me... and Claudine Clarke on Aussie Chancellor!!! came in a plain sleeve I've Learned..yep thats important point cause I spent months checking and searching for the correct sleeve.... but distributed by Viking records Australia.. Impressions came from Pete S some years ago.... weak at the knees stuff indeed...!! nice on Pete.. Malcolm
  14. here's some more colourful ones from Down under... white demo's from ~Festival are very few, just produced for sound correction purpose, Jimmy Smith on Red Verve, real eye candy... and Bettye Swan in her sleeve looks the business.. Ben E King has loads on Atlantic, but I think this particular track gets over looked, dont remember Kent ever putting it out on the various comps they have done, I maybe wrong but I've not come across it... and novelty 'For the Kids' value on house of Bamboo, but it does look nice as a demo in 'Green'!! Festival Finally the two Cameo 45's are not mine, I wished they were, dont they look the business.. Malcolm
  15. won this recently, very nice on a solid center with Bullet Demo sticker... from Australia...
  16. Just picked up Satin - 'Give all Your Love to Me' on Good Records, great track! Ive got the Shell release Satin - Your Love has got me, which I'm sure is Lennie Satin who did 'Homebound', 'Somebody Help Me' and 'Say You Will' on FIP and Shell respectively, both out of Chicago... Now when I listen to 'Give all Your Love to Me' I hear a different vocal on that track..... Ive asked Paul B who I bought it off, but thought I'd put it out to everybody.. How many Satins are there? Malcolm
  17. that told me then didn't it... I knew it was limited, remember when it came out..but what can you do. happy to put it out there, and if anybody wants to come back with a reasonable price I'm all ears, but its not worth hundreds of pounds, thats my view and I'm sticking to it...we can argue the toss on this 'Other' thread cant we.... ~ Laughs... Malcolm
  18. Had on offer on the Kent Sampler, which is five times what I'm prepared to pay for it, so best to make my offer on here, £50.. thats what I'll pay.. and it must be at least VG++ if you dont agree, Pls dont add your comments here, I'd ask you to politely start a new thread... Malcolm
  19. Got ELLIOT SMALL - I'M A DEVIL for a fiver a couple months ago, from a stall in the lanes in Brighton.. there still out there!! M
  20. Liza calls it 'Rainbow' and we have to play 'Emperor' with it every time... strange though changing tastes, I think you should get at least £45 for it Pete, Girls record for sure.... and if that makes me a girl, so then so be it... Mal
  21. anybody got the Kent sampler, that featured 'Gentry - This Is My Chance'? Might have been 10 or 12", cant remember... also an LP of Detroit stuff that came out in the late 8ts/early 9ts, has a never issued version of I'm Human too by Clifford Binns on it, Carrie LP, that was it, lots of Unissued Detroit Northern.. Gene flogged on on here couple years back for £30... malcolm
  22. Big favorite of a certain Sydney Soul Sister, In fact they all became very animated when it got played....which is how I got to love this record, cost ten quid back then... malcolm
  23. think you got a narrow escape there Mark, somebody's been using that as a plate for the dog..
  24. Ok, LP or Red Issue Pls folks.... anybody got one of either? Must be mint folks, I dont like crappy scratched records... Thanks in advance.. Malcolm
  25. Wanted: Bobby Patterson - I Get My Groove From You / Paula Prefer a red Issue, but will look at a demo, vinyl only on this one.. Unless the styrene is spotless and plays true and clear.. Cheers all Malcolm
