notice the Aussie Sandy Wynns - The Touch of Penis, John Manship has up in his auction, in the wrong sleeve... If I was paying £131 and counting I'd want that to be correct, thats an Aussie sleeve but was not used post 1963... So if your reading this, it should be a Red stripped sleeve, yep 'Looks gorgeous' as it says in the blurb, but its not as it looked when it was issued... small matter, but makes a difference... Love Energy Flash, especially at a Soul Do.,,such a big track wasn't it... I think allot of folk on here will love the Garage type / DJ International stuff, it's soulful, but once you veer violently off towards Dance Opera, R&S, New Beat stuff... They can't get away fast enough... Personally I love it, its basically pure twisted aggression!!!! and I just can't find that in Soul Music, so it caters for that side of me....

Think we discussed 'Loverock / You got the Love' some time ago, first heard that round a mate of mines, Martin Redmond, he got stuff cause he ran the Sindrome nights at Shelleyes. Christ he's got some records. On the subject of Mash up type things, I used to do a 'bedroom' one with David Bowie - Diamond Dogs and Tyrell Corporation - The Bottle, dont think I could replicate it now. One I remember standing out was from one of the Flying lot, maybe Dean thatcher with Blue Monday and Move Your Body, people used to 'lose their mind!" to that.. laughs all good fun M

well I cant speak for yourself, but I just used to ask mate, and no doubt Like you, I put the time in.. every spare moment for years looking.. I was lucky to have a large network of friends that shared titles, we even bought for each other if something looked good... that and mates that went to Greyhound Distribution pretty regularly... I do remember allot of standing about, so nothings changed there then...

More of the same, nice bloom, may Bug, and the Lambs are out!! Malcolm late editions, my mother-in-laws dog, looks like those little chaps of 'Return of the Jedi' Peacock feels free to roam, and a landscape from the Avebury Stones in Wiltshire.. entitled' Black Man's Bluff' Some very old roots in there and a shrimp from Brighton sea Life Center..

filmed this a month ago (below MP4), had a lovely time taking images of our first Butterfly of the season, then it landed on the carpet and the cat jumped on it...!! couple of other critters in there, and a very nice bloom.. Malcolm IMG_0973.mov

I still get his lists every so often, I do love actually getting a list through the door, re live the old BUZZ!! Yellow marker at the ready......Not quite the same sine the Inter web came on the scene is it... Ian Clarke at the Brighton Record fair throughout the 9ts, when Jesse Fisher - Your not Loving a Beginner WAS a £25 record...!!! Lol Malcolm

is it? looks great in my i-Tunes.... m

missing four now, especially one of the hardest, 002 - The Magic Touch, was in Roger Stewart's shop some years back, and didn't buy it....DOH!!
-
Its ok, the 45, but its not a patch on the Kent CD release, this is from the Classiest Rarities series folks, most folk on here already have it, take the time to compare them and you will hear the difference.... as I said I was happy to let the 45 go, keep the Mp3.... never thought Id ever say that! Cant stand that Joseph Webster 45, awful track, backing is great, just hate he way he sings it.... he a far better singer than he is on that 45... M

The Bootleg "everybody" Sells As An Original
Mal C replied to Premium Stuff's topic in Look At Your Box
'Thats Enough' I was told most are boots, ages ago now, but its stuck in the memory... I have no evidence to prove that of course, and given it's a Chicago track, I kinda feel its unlikely, but there you go, its a suggestion... I think the thing with this is the 'Track' Richard is alluding to, is a very much accepted original... but then he does not know the answer to the question does he??? Richard what are you on about mate???? laughs Malcolm -
whats your email? the Kent one has vocals to the fore, the released 45 they sound way in the background, id have to listen again to say whether the backing is any different, but the vocal alone for me made it sufficient enough to not need the 45.. M

Isn't Roscoe Robinson on Gerri a good candidate for this 'unknown' track? That and some of the Tuff stuff? Would this dealers first name be Richard by any chance? M -

The Younghearts - Little Togetherness? is it an obvious 'Classic' title, or something more obscure? M -
'Rare Boot"!! thats got me scurrying back the the racks to check.. mines has labels the right way round and is an MR stamp (69165)... thats deffo a sixties release isnt it? m
-
I know the released 45 does not do justice to the version Kent put out on CD, half the reason i sold mine, every time i played it, it just wasn't like the Kent one, which I love to death...

Seems prices have gone up on allot of stuff recently, I'm being quoted silly amounts by some folk on here. They own these tracks so you ask what you want for it, I respect that, but I'm not going to pay more than a tenner for most 2nd issues. In the past Mel Britt was the one which fetched £20 and above, what do folk think, and is there anyway we can get some sort of pricing guide for this? Pls dont mention John Manship, people should in my opinion simply ignore anything to do with his prices, because they are too inflated. You can say Its a sellers or buyers market, but what do folk think? Malcolm

Not seen that many with the labels the wrong way, obviously I'd rate those less in price than a perfect one. I paid £80 or so for my cartoon 45, very very mint condition..if thats of any help... Malcolm
