yep had the funky 16 corners edit for some years, which is where I found out about it... had it on in bed the other night, as you do, and thought, I must have this in its entirety on vinyl... got it playing now, your right live performance, as there are hand claps at the first interludical... Great track, if your reading this and interested I'd be happy to send it to you by we transfer say, all I would ask is that you send something nice in return....if you got the LP, get in touch... mal

Maybe not the place to ask for this, but what the heck, anybody got one of these? Ive no idea whether it got a vinyl release, I'd have thought it did, but never seen one... Must be on some obscure Jazz LP I guess.... Verona High School Jazz Ensemble - Synthesis / label Unknown,,, Kind regards, Malcolm

At least the label seemed to get past the 'essential' ten releases....why does that number seemed to have been such a stumbling bloc for allot of labels, will ask the folk who put that recent 45 out, what they know about the label, be good to get solid info, were all stumbling about in the dark here.... Bare with me... Mal

there you go, Orange one is the first one... I think one of the big dealers might have that wrong...

Just got my copy of Limmie Funk Ltd through the post, fabulous 45... quite fascinated with this Psycho Label, I bought the Foundations 'Change My Life' 45 a year or so ago, but before that I'd never seen the label before. There was another release up for auction on a well known dealers site this year I think, anybody know that, or know any more about the label? are there any more 7ts soul releases on it? Malcolm

Just playing my German copy of Lou Courtney, has 'I Don't need Nobody else' flipped with 'I'm in the need of Love'... Pretty hard to beat, and only on the a Kraut release... malcolm

I see these all the time, especially CSC copies, been loads through evil bay, Its not a rare record.... but then some sounds you never see, then you get a copy, and then they are like buses... weird init record collecting...
-
they turn up, give it a couple weeks..
-
I sold one last year, dont remember the exact price, but 30/40 quid I think...
-
I always thought the CSC release was first, Hamito-Semitica second, and the 12" after that. All the disc's Ive ever seen have generally been sold under that order of release if you like... Malcolm

Ohhh, there are a few, but Rhonda Davis on Duke comes straight to mind, 'Long walk' being the better track but both great, oh and jimmy Connor on Shelly, 'the reality of life' is a massive favourite of mine ... And the rhythm machine on Rodan to that list, I'm not a massive funk collector but they were such a good group, their best 45 IMO.... M

The Soul Stylists: six decades of Modernisim from Mods to casuals by Paolo Hewitt Forward by Paul Weller VG++ condition £4 £3 Ive always had a passing interest in Hewett and Paul Wellers relationship, only in that I know they were very close but seem to had fallen out big style some years ago, which was reported pretty widely, in all honesty I bought this book to see if there was anything on that, there isn't.....that said, this is a thoroughly good read. Tons of extracts from a host of sources including Ady Croasdell, Norman Jay, Ian Hebditch, and the very funny Terry Farley. He may be thought of a misery guts, but he makes me laugh; when he left his full time job to become a DJ, he said he couldn't fit old dears Gas Meters knowingly....well you know why.... its an easy read this, and very enjoyable.. I'll post a piccie below this list... Film History: Theory and Practice. by Robert C. Allen / Douglas Gomery. £4 VG++ condition £3 Books like this dont ever date really, this book deals with the History of Film, Research, Reading and although the Technological chapter is redundant the other chapters give fabulous insight in 'how' to approach film History.
