  3. Ive seen it happen with the big ones, they dont mess about when it comes to lunch..... I used to fish at a gravel pit years back, One day I descended down a steep slope to get into a corner I'd only ever seen from across the lake, and I found beached a Jack Pike about a 30 cm long, with a perch rammed right inside its mouth, both fish still alive so I separated them and put them back. Luckiest day that Perch has ever had I reckon.. twice in the frying pan.. back in the river... No pictures though, long before camera Phones
  4. Sorry Dembo, quite a strong reply from me, but you know he lied to folk and took their money, allot of their money...! there is no excuse for that. so he was/is Black Patch Productions Inc, located at 14431 Ventura Blvd, 222 Sherman Oaks, CA 91423 And if he starts calling you 'Dear Boy' beware, he's about to pull the wool over your eyes!!! 6. Had a nice spanking The Platters - I Love You 1,000 Times last year, sold it now, but it was a very beautiful thing... Mal
  7. thats fabulous, I haven't been for years, prefer Spinning for Pike, long stints waiting on Carp is fine but if you no longer smoke it kinda takes the fun out of it.. The holes, far too big for Rabbit, Fox or Badger set I'd say.. Fox has a very distinct smell, you would know, and if they have had cubs you generally find all sorts of bits outside all chewed up.. Makes me want to get out there again... really nice pics Malcolm

  9. that guy.... mate he's a crook... plain and simple.. I have my old correspondence with him, will take a look but hes so slippery I'd assume he covers his tracks by changing his email address regularly... when he was selling dodgy Acetates I had a mate who works 3/4 blocks from his address go over and take a look, he didn't go in but I wanted to let him know he couldn't use the Atlantic as a way of hiding from people he ripped off in the Uk... Malcolm
  10. Kent single No110? dunno I assume cause its on Select its never seen light as a 7", obviously from the Kent LP of the same name originally.. Tell you what they should do, 'He's Barbara's Guy - The Fawns', absolutely love that track, be great to see it on the flip of an Anniversary 45 perhaps?? Mal
  11. 'bedthrasher' thats made me giggle that..
  12. Lovely surprise this morning, Just Got my three New Kent 'Selects' through the post!!! When I ordered these I didn't really know the The 'Natural Resources - If There Were No You' track, but got addicted when I bought the recent Dore CD, really nice surprise as I'd totally forgotten they were coming out... Need to sit down with John Edwards 45, and Having Maxine Brown's 'Torture' for the first time on 7 it's just a nice feeling, with Chuck Jackson's 'Millionaire' on the flip, all is right in the world this morning, and the music aint bad either!!! Well done Kent Records! Malcolm

  16. exactly... whats the question again?
  17. Two camps mate, both love the music, but one is addicted to collecting the original records as well, I think you can guess where were at on this thread... But its all fun, and utterly exhilarating for some, me I'll have to dream of finding a WD on Aussie Stateside, because that doesn't exist as a 45 except only in my imagination, and cause I dont collect British... Malcolm
  18. Blimey some pretty harsh words for a film that hasn't actually come out yet... come on boys, and Landy Bug especially, get a bit of perspective... and respect, the makers of the film surely look at this thread, very down heartening to see comments like the above on an artistic endeavor they have put their Heart and soul into, you try to interpret something as complex as 'Northern soul' in any medium; writing negative comments is about the lowest. If you see the film and dont like it, well write a review and we can debate that, but dont judge it till you have seen it.. As for the music, I think were all agreed the selection cant be faulted, not one single dog, in fact every track is a serious Northern soul track, except of course the Artistic's version of 'Chase is on' is far superior to Johnny Howard.. and I know I'm not alone on that one either.. Malcolm
  19. I was going to ask yesterday what it went for, Dude we use the amounts as a guide, so pls as per the guidelines put the amount you sold it for, its free to sell on here, just dont take the proverbial and ruin it for everybody??? otherwise you will never get any sales feedback in sunny Brussels will you? Mal.C.

  23. thats interesting, I knew about the Tommy Tate being on the Swift 45. Are you aware of any other discs by Tommy Smith and Derby's... their songs are all exceptionally good, just love that Kool 45.. Also, just so I can properly discount it, the VJ recording 'I Cant Win' is obviously a totally different group all together isn't it... Mal
  24. Just Gazing at my copy of 'Keep on pushing' as you do... lol strangely Ive never actually thought about the 'Arr Tommy Smith & the Derby's' credit before, is this the same group as on Swift on 'Don't Play the Role' and Kool 'Goin Back to Houston' 45's? three very very nice 45's, but then you now that.. Mal
