  21. strangely I dont think I'd enjoy the experience of buying from John Manship, especially on his auctions. I believe Id have to give up allot of my personal info to him in advance of any bid, and the whole bidding thing just puts me off, I know I'm not going to get a bargain, so really whats the use.. you can buy big ticket stuff any day of the week from various sources... I just see the whole things as tainted, old blokes or strange hermits tucked away in far flung places with big fat wallets, its a circus where you throw your money into the ring, hoping you might come out with a trophy for your efforts.. Thats not record collecting, and its not my idea of fun... I get more of a buzz buying a fiver record on here off somebody like Des, thats as good as a thousand pounder, I dont care if every man and his dog has it, cause I dont, and cause its the music that counts.... Now you can all aim your fat wallets at me and FIRE!!! mal
  22. Swifty Swallow... where do we reckon he is now? I have a story I made up about a small bird that migrates every year that I used to tell the kids, he stops at the same tree every year, bu the first time he comes up against some owls!! now Ive got my hero...Swifty Swallow... there he goes...
  23. Reminds me of Bob's interview where he tells the interviewer how he could id a host of Chicago tracks by their labels and typefaces... bit sad really but its a beautiful thing....
