You must buy this, strong stuff.... Saw somebody mentioned Precisions - If this is Love (I'd Rather Be Lonely) - £10ish, Id have said that, maybe £15 for a nice minter, thing is there are not many minters out there, but lots of crap copies, and I see the price of this track rising, saw somebody list it at £40 sterling the other day.. nearly fainted at that...

Chuck Holiday Just Can't Trust Nobody . . What Year Was This Released?
Mal C replied to a topic in Look At Your Box
I just hate the vocal on Chuck Holiday, its not a patch on the Four Voices vocals... and I love both versions of 'Trade my Soul', but E.Williams probably a bit more... -
Christ, thats extortionate... pay £200 over here, no doubt you could get it cheaper down under... I was paying under 15aud for most stuff when I lived there, if it was special it might have gone upto $60 say.. but only on things like Sue Barker LP, stuff like that... M

ahh.. sorry I should have read between the lines... btw, you describe Bobby's shows as wild, I remember sleeve notes mentioning James Brown used to catch the shows when he was in town, has anybody ever seen one of these shows, does film exist do you think?

Skimming On Post! Since When Did 1St Class Signed For Cost £5?
Mal C replied to Mal C's topic in Look At Your Box
I knew I was bit naughty for putting it up in the sales section, and I expected it would be moved, so thats what that relates too. so to give context, I asked a seller for a track this morning, Ive not named him, and he came back with a fiver for 1st Class signed for, and when I asked why he was charging that he told me he had to drive out of town to the post office. well obviously I wanted the 45, but i dont charge folk that when I sell 45's, I wouldn't think of taking the proverbial, especially on here... We all buy and sell from each other on here, its a great community for that, but if some are taking the Micky I think others should know is going on, and hopefully that might change their decision as it did mine, I obviously declined the 45. Malcolm -
Do you think if asked, the folk involved on that scene would want as big a profile as the NS scene is getting at the moment? Mal

Skimming On Post! Since When Did 1St Class Signed For Cost £5?
Mal C replied to Mal C's topic in Look At Your Box
£2.50 covers it in the UK, and that takes in consideration the mailer and anything else you might use to seal and pop on the parcel.. Just waiting to get my slap on the wrist for posting this in here, but this is a community, regular folk on here buy and sell to each other, if you take the piss it should be highlighted imo... -
Skimming on POST!!! Since when did 1st Class signed for post within the UK, cost £5? Those of you who try to charge this should be ashamed of yourselves, its skimming plain and simple, I'll never buy a record from you, and I hope others take the same stance...If I drove to Manchester from where I live in Bucks to deliver to the post office, more fool me... but you dont charge the customer your petrol cost do you? you use the local post office and you get on your bike... This is a good place to get your prices from... https://www.royalmail.com/personal/uk-delivery/signed-for-1st-class?intcampaignid=CLT_0613_LP_20 Bloody cheek... I hate skimming...!!! Malcolm

Hi all, some very nice sales below.. Any links to you tube are for reference only, not an exact recording of the 45 for sale, if you get my gist.. --------- ** Payment to be made by pay pal, as Friends & Family (Gift Payment) to: arkanoid300@hotmail.com ** POST ** 1st Class Signed for Within the Uk (Insured upto £50) £2.50 Reg Post for a single 45 in the UK, (Insured upto £500 within the UK) £7.15 If your overseas just say where and I'll quote you separately... I do not offer free postage unless stated. --------- The Brentwoods - Gee But I Miss Him / Bell Sound Acetate VG++ £50 Plays fine this, and is a really great Girl Group track that came on ‘Talent Records’ in the US. I think this is really brilliant record… Listen Sammy King - Your Old Standby / She's Moody With Her Love / Mar-A-Thon £250 EX+ Brilliant mid sixties double sider, with ‘Your Old standby’ edging it for me, the very rare track released by Sammy on this label, one of three releases he had. Listen Patti Austin - Your Too Much A Part of Me / Coral Yellow Demo M- £85 Brilliant Powerhouse Dancer, flip is also brilliant, as are all her songs, she never make crap records.. The Mask Man and The Agents - I Wouldn't Come Back / Loop VG++ £50 This is such a good 45, really brilliant song, and great looking label, its got a bit of bubbling near the center hole, which you get with this title and press, where the glue on the label starts to come away, its nominal on this copy. its an EX player…see scan The Venturas - Baby Be Mine / Daniels EX++ £200 Absolutely Brilliant Chicago Group 45 here, both sides are the business, actually saw a WD listen on Tim Browns list recently, went for allot more, but never seen that before... Skip Easterling - Keep the Fire Burning / The Grass Looks Greener / Alon VG++ £75 His best, great backing vocals on this one too…the type is a little faded on this copy, doesn't detract... Barbara Brown - Pity the Fool / MGM (Sound of Memphis) WD M- £75 Sublime soul balled from MGM (Sounds Of Memphis label). Released in the early 7ts, written and produced by Dan Greer. Ernie Johnson & the Soul Blenders - You Gotta be Faithful and True / You Gonna Miss Me / Duplex VG+ £35 bit of wear on the label, and some rub on the vinyl, plays with a bit of crackle... that said, two awesome sides, one mid-tempo, one very very nice deep soul side with a touch of the 'Bobby Bland' about it, listen here... Listen ** SOLD ** The Millionaires - And the Rains Came / Coffee and Donuts / Specialty M- £90 Superb Group Soul 45, stamped original..Nice 45... Liz Lands - Midnight Johnny / Gordy EX++ tad of M- £100 This is the very rare later issue on Gordy, very few have turned up on this label design, Its mint bar a slight mark, I wont say scratch because you cant hear it at all, plays loud and clear, very rare on this design… Johnny Summers - I Cant Let Go / Yorktown M- £350 Two versions of this great track on the label, personally I love them both, but I’m only going to keep one, hence sale. Listen John Washington - Burn The Calendar / Sandwich M- £80 Fabulous soulful 45, very mint condition label and vinyl... The Foundations - Change My Life / UK Psyco Ex £100 Two 45’s of worth on this label, with a recent reissue of the other, this is a really great Crossover 45… Fabulous Four - If I Knew / Santimo M- £50 Steaming mint copy, real nice one, great group track that originally came out on Peak I think.. Listen -------- Kind regards, Malcolm

Chuck Holiday Just Can't Trust Nobody . . What Year Was This Released?
Mal C replied to a topic in Look At Your Box
Yep, On Gloria records, costs allot, and its not that good... it did get a reissue in the late 9ts early 2000ns... Strangely I wonder if it actually got issued twice on Gloria... oh and its the same backing as another Big Detroit record, Green label, cant remember the name.. -
its ok, but when I hear 'Wish I knew' , thats the version... If you know what I mean.. allot more finesse..
-
Australia Bob, I only collect Aussie.. and Yank if course..
-
Ray 'He's Behind you' mate...
-
Dunno, but personally dont think its all that, 'I Wish I Knew' is far better cut by them, and under half the price...
