Skimming On Post! Since When Did 1St Class Signed For Cost £5?
Mal C replied to Mal C's topic in Look At Your Box
I knew I was bit naughty for putting it up in the sales section, and I expected it would be moved, so thats what that relates too. so to give context, I asked a seller for a track this morning, Ive not named him, and he came back with a fiver for 1st Class signed for, and when I asked why he was charging that he told me he had to drive out of town to the post office. well obviously I wanted the 45, but i dont charge folk that when I sell 45's, I wouldn't think of taking the proverbial, especially on here... We all buy and sell from each other on here, its a great community for that, but if some are taking the Micky I think others should know is going on, and hopefully that might change their decision as it did mine, I obviously declined the 45. Malcolm -
Do you think if asked, the folk involved on that scene would want as big a profile as the NS scene is getting at the moment? Mal

Skimming On Post! Since When Did 1St Class Signed For Cost £5?
Mal C replied to Mal C's topic in Look At Your Box
£2.50 covers it in the UK, and that takes in consideration the mailer and anything else you might use to seal and pop on the parcel.. Just waiting to get my slap on the wrist for posting this in here, but this is a community, regular folk on here buy and sell to each other, if you take the piss it should be highlighted imo... -
Skimming on POST!!! Since when did 1st Class signed for post within the UK, cost £5? Those of you who try to charge this should be ashamed of yourselves, its skimming plain and simple, I'll never buy a record from you, and I hope others take the same stance...If I drove to Manchester from where I live in Bucks to deliver to the post office, more fool me... but you dont charge the customer your petrol cost do you? you use the local post office and you get on your bike... This is a good place to get your prices from... https://www.royalmail.com/personal/uk-delivery/signed-for-1st-class?intcampaignid=CLT_0613_LP_20 Bloody cheek... I hate skimming...!!! Malcolm

Ernie Johnson & the Soul Blenders - You Gotta be Faithful and True / You Gonna Miss Me / Duplex VG+ £35 bit of wear on the label, and some rub on the vinyl, plays with a bit of crackle... that said, two awesome sides, one mid-tempo, one very very nice deep soul side with a touch of the 'Bobby Bland' about it, listen here... Mal C replied to a topic in Look At Your Box
Yep, On Gloria records, costs allot, and its not that good... it did get a reissue in the late 9ts early 2000ns... Strangely I wonder if it actually got issued twice on Gloria... oh and its the same backing as another Big Detroit record, Green label, cant remember the name.. -

Cornelius Brothers and Sister Rose — Too Late to Turn Back Now / United Artists VG++ £15 b/w Lift your Love Higher Nice Aussie copy of this classic seventies sound. very small bit of dirt on the LYLH side label, but it does not detract. Seen this on another dealers site for an awful lot more in worse condition. Comes in an original Festival Records Sleeve. Otis Clay — Do Right Woman, Do Right Man / Australian Atlantic Demo Ex £15 b/w That Kind of Lovin This is a really nice track, there’s nothing more ‘Chicago’ than Otis Clay, and this is a really nice Australian Atlantic demo of a lesser know but very good slowie… Little Stevie Wonder — Fingertips (Part1/2) / HMV (Australia) VG++ £15 A classic Motown track, and really nice on Aussie HMV this… Bobby Patterson- If A Man Ever Loved A Woman / Australian Festival (Radio Station Demo) Ex £15 b/w You Taught Me How to Love Demo from a Victoria State Prison, complete with its original slip cover, and as you can imagine they were meticulous so has all the play dates stamped on the cover. Dionne Warwick — Do You Know the Way to San Jose / Australian Septer EP EX++ £10 Side 1: Do You Know the Way to San Jose / For the rest of My Life Side 2: As Long As There’s An Apple Tree Fabulous EP in top condition. Aussie ‘Septer’ releases always get attention, them being blue and white as apposed to the red/black and white USA releases. Comes with it’s original Picture sleeve, which is also in tip top condition. Dottie West — Make The World Go Away / Australian Astor VG++ £20 b/w Who Does He Think He Is Again this Demo came from a Victoria State Prison, complete with its original slip cover, and original Astor Press release. This is a stunning Aussie Radio Station Demo with the original press release tucked inside. circa 27th June 1966!! Jackie Wilson — My Heart Belongs To You / Australian Brunswick White Demo Test Press VG++ £15 b/w The way I am As far as I’m aware Festival records in Australia didn’t produce White Demo’s for general Circulation, most if not all Festival 45’s had a Red Bullet sticker stating Promo stuck onto them. However they did produce a small quantity at the pressing plant to check the sound quality, I’d heard this number was 5-7 45’s, depending on how many times they needed to test the process. So what your looking at is a very rare Australian 45 by a classic American singer. Jackie Wilson — Alone At Last / Australian Brunswick VG+ £5 b/w Am I the Man This track was recorded and released in 1960, its not Soul, as you know it! This is like something Mario Lanza would release, he being one of the worlds greatest Tenners!! What it is in my humble opinion the one of the best examples ever committed to vinyl showcasing the ‘VOICE‘ the range, the beauty and depth of Jackie Wilson. We all love the Soul Years but this is still an essential track to have sitting there… Eddie Holman — Hey There Lonely Girl/ Australian Stateside VG+ £10 b/w It’s All in The Game Both Classics!! but then you know that.. Nice on Aussie Stateside too… Bobby Bland — Rockin’ In The Same Old Bag / Australian CBS Ex (date stamped) £10 b/w Wouldn’t You rather Have me Date stamped Aussie 45... Esther Philips — Release Me/ Australian HMV Radio Station demo Ex ++ £15 b/w Don’t Feel Rained On Demo from a Victoria State Prison, complete with its original slip cover, and as you can imagine they were meticulous so has all the play dates stamped on the cover, stunning Aussie Radio Station Demo… Aretha Franklin — I Say A Little Prayer / Australian Atlantic Ex £10 b/w The House That Jack Built Demo from a Victoria State Prison, complete with its original slip cover, and as you can imagine they were meticulous so has all the play dates stamped on the cover. The Drifters — On Broadway / Australian London Atlantic VG+ £5 b/w Let the Music Play ------- Kind regards, Malcolm
