Mal C replied to Eamesy's topic in Record Sales
Hi Mate, got any other Aussie 45s? Malc -
How many times have we discussed this, Ive lost count, but I keep on doing it, here's a killer Id never heard till today, well not that I remember anyway, and Ive had the 45 for well over a decade.. The Sophisticates - I Need You.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Acv8GSr46X4 Post em up, we love those 'deeper' feeling B-Sides... here's another one from a couple months back, shan't post a Tube link as its already on the site..but come on....!! 'Phyllis Brown - Why?' mal.C :-))

is this the same lot as on Port and Janus? never made a bad record did they.. Mal:))

Lafez “No Matter” (MJW) Id love to see a scan of this 45, is it a red label, does the label have any connection to 'Patience Valentine - Our Love (A special Blending)' MJR by any chance? Malcolm -

Forgot Ruby Winters which started the decade as a Mick Smith 15 quid tune, turned into a staple collectors 45... I think underneath the swaths of BIG records this was one of the biggest tracks of the decade, if you think how readily available it was, and how may bought it... Also remember All Brighton and Gino - Its only a a Paper Moon / Tommy Fontera - Your my Leading Lady, great tracks those two, Try Dodds on El Camino made a come back, I guess that was Stafford initially, and who could forget when 'Harvey - Any Way You Wanta' went big, you heard that literally everywhere you went... Remember Ady playing The Devonnes - Doin' The Gittin' Up at the Manchester Ritz, Rarest of the Rare allnighter, Gladys Knight & the Pips - No One Could Love You More was massive wasn't it, and Kim Weston - A Thrill A Moment as the River Bar in town... a certain favorite from everybody there.. How big was Ernestine Eady - The Change massive...Delilah Kennebreuw — Bright lights, and everybody wanted Andrea Henry - Need you like a baby, they still do I think....best mention 'The Falcons - Good Good Feeling'... I'm not gonna knock the new stuff, cause its all old music which ever way you look at it, and there are lots of great new tracks to discover, but I cant help liking the tracks that were big in the 9ts.... Mal.C P.s.. I know it was else where but Flash McKinley - I'll Rescue You from Butch at the 100 club... hauntingly etched on ya memory..
-
Two big ones from the RCA label, that made a big impact... Gale Garnett - I'll Cry Alone, and Della Reese - Clock that's got no hands.. need to add Les McCann - Sad Little Girl to that little list..not RCA of course..and from about 98/99 The Inspirations - Gotta Find a New love, both versions via Ady and butch... Mal;-))

Hi Kev, hope your well mate. The Fabulous Four 45 on Peak, was that the same copy that appeared in the Top 500 book? If not somebody must have done that to a batch of the stock, maybe when Santimo bought the rights from Peak they got stock with the deal, wrote over the labels and sent those out as promo copies? Just a guess but I've always wondered... great track malcolm

Skimming On Post! Since When Did 1St Class Signed For Cost £5?
Mal C replied to Mal C's topic in Look At Your Box
just read my original post back in your reply, and initially I felt a bit ashamed at it, then I thought, no... I dont do this to people when I sell, in fact I cover stuff all the time, so on some I actually make a small loss... When you get the track, leave him neutral feedback, but mention he should get on his bike and save his customers the excessive postal charges he offers...you might also mention that 1st class signed for, and Special delivery are two different products, then remind who's complaining... M -
is this the flip of "I got what you need" kev?
