do called Second City Soul... was off the Sheldon road somewhere, before you get to the big underpass...we traveled as well which was a bit of a disappointment, on the upside there were allot of friends there, which made up for it.. Only do Ive liked in the last 3 or so years is Soul Kitchen in Tunbridge Wells, musically right up my street, lovely bar, pretty easy for me to get to, and some lovely folk... deffo going back for more! To my mind the only do that was ever any good in B'ham was the Outrigger and for a time Sinatras, but that was the eighties, and I haven't lived in the city in 20 plus years, but Maryam, good luck to you... went to a soul do recently in Brum, nr Sheldon, loads of good names, dealers on the flyer, it was a disaster, should have learnt my lesson years ago...never go to a soul do in Birmingham, it will be shit...

Ive also bought tons from Japan, I have to say they are all great guys over there, and when it comes to condition, every 45 I've ever bought has been very minty... fast quality service...is std in Japan pretty much I think.. m:_))

Maybe a bit further a field, but I'll be doing a road trip across Canada later in the year, finishing in Calgary, I was eying Seattle as a possible trip down across the boarder.. However they did produce a small quantity at the pressing plant to check the sound quality, I’d heard this number was 5-7 45’s, depending on how many times they needed to test the process. So what your looking at is a very rare Australian 45 by a classic American singer. Jackie Wilson — Alone At Last / Australian Brunswick VG+ £5 b/w Am I the Man This track was recorded and released in 1960, its not Soul, as you know it! This is like something Mario Lanza would release, he being one of the worlds greatest Tenners!! What it is in my humble opinion the one of the best examples ever committed to vinyl showcasing the ‘VOICE‘ the range, the beauty and depth of Jackie Wilson. We all love the Soul Years but this is still an essential track to have sitting there… Eddie Holman — Hey There Lonely Girl/ Australian Stateside VG+ £10 b/w It’s All in The Game Both Classics!! but then you know that.. Worth noting that Acid jazz in the 9ts, and recently Kent put out sides from this LP.. the stronger being 'Don't You Care'. but followed closely by 'Never Did I Stop Loving You'.. ohh they also did a complete sessions CD which is worth getting and mentioned above BGP being part of the Ace group... M
