  1. The IV Royals- one girl/random soul on TAHIA...VG++ $200 you should list this separately, I get emails about a copy I sold years back, literally every other week.. good luck Mal
  2. well thats an over whelming response to this thread.... lets turn it around a bit, whats your colour? M
  3. The Cost of Soul 45s? I've seen a distinct rise in Northern and Modern soul 45s in the last two months, especially on this site. I dont know what to attribute this to, maybe summer, maybe not..demand obviously, but there are some vary off the mark prices, and Ive seen the same track listed at the same time between multiple sellers at very different prices...not the real rare stuff either.. Dunno what do folk think? Mal
  4. There not as good as James brown are they...
  5. you know what, forget these two, DCM / SULTANS and buy The Uniques - Not Too Long Ago, save yourself a load of cash and get a better track while your doing it...
  6. listen to the flip on eBay, then listen to the track again... its a white garage record, although it has a soul feel to it, you can hear where they are coming from...
  7. Great track, Had it years ago, then listened t it in the car the other day, and that was it, I must have it! now sorted btw..
  8. saw that, Tim Brown had one didn't he some years back, nice to hear the flip as well on that listing... That said, its mediocre garage track really, I dont much of it at all, might be rare but musically its not a very impressive track.. Malcolm

  11. thats Soul Inc is dam hard to follow... Remember having just bought Rotations - Dime on D9 at the 100 club, took it out the sleeve, and it flew out of my hand, rolled about 3/4 feet from me, then in a circle till it came to a stop.. the frightening thing was there were people everywhere, I thought it was going to get stamped on, luckily I picked it up sharpish, and no harm came to it.. Phew....!! Mal

I really like this club... music is great of course, Frank Wilson was a bit too obvious for my taste, but hey music is good medicine when and where ever its played... 17. FLOYD HENLEY Believe in me KAS-MO Ex £12 Love this 45, real quality tune, just one question, yours is red, normally see yellow ones with a slightly different cat / release number, (Kas-Mo 1001) Yellow / Pink (22 001) , pink has Amy/Bell dist, so would the yellow be first, and pink simply a distributed run by Amy Bell? i know you may not really care about this detail rob, but it matter to me... Mal
  18. Our paths must have met then, we were always there sat morning on the circuit of record shops in town.......Don was a massive name in music in Birmingham wasn't he? strangely there were all sorts of stories about Don, I never saw him outside of the counter, I mean him behind it, me in front, but somebody told me he had half a leg or something? dunno bout that story, never confirmed by me as I only ever saw him from waist up o to speak..... though it might have had some truth., he was shot supposedly..... the place went down hill when he sold it, and we all started buying records of a very young Lee Fisher, not the northern soul geezer of the same name, this guy made a name for himself in the House scene, and released a track that went top 40.. owned a shop in Digbeth, then behind the Law Courts.. one of the Kings Standing lot... phew, memories.. mal actually I did get into the basement, after Don sold the shop, there was a ton of Italian Imports, had some nice stuff from in there, there was allot of crap as well..
